In wake of our 13 penalty fiasco I thought it would be fun to make a nice list like Hostiles for the team to read regarding on the field play rather than our board rules:

Feel free to add additional suggestions for the team to read. All in fun though as I am not a negative person and still have hope for this team this year.

#1. The ball is the neutral zone. You can't line up with your hand placed in the neutral zone.

#2. Much to your surprise guys, you really cannot move until the ball is snapped

#3. Holding is a penalty, especially if you are a Cowboy. Holding happens on every play but as a Cowboy you must be beyond reproach. See M Bennett versus Denver!

#4. The ball is your friend. You should try your best to catch it and hold on to it. See P Crayton,T Newman, A Spencer(Denver again), M Austin, S Hurd ......

#5. The ball is the Neutral zone. don't line up in the neutral zone - I think it needs repeating!

We can eliminate stupid infractions by paying the refs more than the other team.:D

or we can get them called the other way if we trade for tom brady

#6 - don't lead with your shoulder and lay the wood on a receiver. It will net you a 15-yard helmet-to-helmet penalty.

Good stuff.

#7 stopping the opponent from scoring, after your team has just scored, will increase chances of winning!

#8 Knowing if it is 3rd down or 4th improves your odds of winning the game in the last five seconds when your on the goal line.

This thread is just begging for some good old fashion Madden Comments.

“The goal of football is to score more points than your opponent.”

“Here’s a guy who when he runs, he moves faster.”

:laugh2:

#10. Tapping the quarterback in the head, even if it's unintentional and you are trying to knock the ball down, is still a 15-yard, roughing the dumb*** passer penalty.

On the offsides problems the defense had. The first one Spencer was standing up first and was alright, but when he put his hand down he was in the neutral zone. The second one the center moved the ball forward the width of the ball which made it look like Olshansky was in the neutral zone.(bad call imo, nitpicky at best) The third one Ratliff just got a great jump when the center moved the ball. Looked like a really bad call to me. The last one Ware jumped, tried to get back before the snap but couldn't.

Ref: "Roughing The Brady, #96 on the defense, 15 yards, automatic first down and free throw for the offense."

9. A helmet to helmet hit is still a personal foul of roughing the passer. However, the NFL does not recognize any quarterback with a last name of fewer than 5 letters.

Hire prostitutes and have them take photos with the head of officiating, as well as several of the top officials, in compromising positions. Then use the photos to blackmail the refs into giving us calls.

Flo will never false start again. We will never get called for offsides again.
