I'm having trouble connecting to the internet with my comp. The cables work and my wireless router picks up on the internet. I however can't get it to connect my comp. I'm also unable to do a system restore and the background looks like its running on XP or older. I looked for displays and themes but nothing. My operating system is Vista. I'm not really sure whats wrong i'm thinking i may need to delete everything and reinstall the OS but i'm not too sure how to go about that. Also my sound doesn't work and i get this weird error that tells me to check event logo 0x81000202. Any advice?

Sounds like someone has been surfing p0rn or warez (or both)

Honesty, it sounds like you've landed a destructive virus or you've done some heavy damage to your hard drive blocks. In my opinion, save whatever data you can that you want to keep, and re-install the OS. Considering you're using Vista, you might want to check out the Windows 7 thread for cheaper options at obtaining it and upgrade. Vista is just a plain bad OS.

warez? porn? Me why I never . But on a more serious note I'll have to take another look at the comp and see what's what

Before you wipe everything and start over download this program and run a full scan.

How do you suggest I get that on my comp? Since the only way I can connect to the internet is from my Wii.

Does the Wii accept USB thumb drives? Maybe you can download it to one of those and then plug it into your Vista box.

Do you have a work computer? Download it to a USB drive then take it home.

Work comp would imply having a job :D. But I guess I can try to download it from a school comp.
