1 Anthony Barr, OLB, 6-5 #255 UCLA

2 Kelcy Quarles, DT, 6-4 #300 South Carolina

3 Joel Bitonio, OG/C 6-4 #302 Neveda
Dakota Dozier, OG, 6-4 #315 Furman
Billy Turner, OG, 6-6 #314 North Dakota State

Don't know which guy to pick but would be happy with any of them

4 Christian Jones, ILB, 6-3 #240 Florida State

thought about

Caraun Reid, DT, 6-2 #300 Princeton

but think we need a ILB with the injuries

5 Kevin Norwood, WR, 6-2 #200 Alabama

7 (14) 229 Justin Britt, OT, 6-6 #325 Missouri

7 (16) 231 Jay Bromley, DE/DT , 6-3, #310 Syracuse

7 (23) 238 Tom Savage, QB, 6-3 #230 Pitt

7 (33) 248 Max Bullough, MLB, 6-3 #265 Michigan State

7 (36) 251 Trey Millard, FB, 6-2 #250 Oklahoma

7 (39) 254 Alfred Blue, RB 6-2 #220 LSU

and the 7 round who knows - trade some to move up - or whatever

but I picked

UDFA'S

Marcus Williams, CB, 5-11 #195 North Dakota State

Tyler Hoover, DT/DE, 6-6 #290 Michigan State

Dillon Quinn, DE, 6-6 #280 3 years at BC transferring to C.W. Post

Dustin Wharton, S, 6, #215 Georgetown

That'd be a fun group to bring in .

Quarles in the 2nd seems a bit early to me, but there is potential there. I think that 47th pick is pretty valuable this year....lots of options.

My guess is that Jerry will not be able to make it through the 6th rd w/o a pick and will pkg 2-3 of those 7ths to get in on the action there.

This isn't a bad group at all...I agree with @DFWJC that you may be able to get quarles later....and, of the 3 guards, I like Bitonio the most (currently), I also think you can likely get either of the other two G's later as I don't see them going by the 3rd...Norwood is starting to grow on me, a lot

I can see Jones trading some of the 7th picks for 6th or 7th picks in next year's draft...they aren't getting 6 starters from the 7th round this year, and they also aren't getting the comp picks next year since we signed some cheapo guys and then Melton will balance off losing hatch...thus, get more options for 2015 as well

Several good picks.

I would go with Dozier or Turner over Bitonio.

Reid over Jones.

I think you can do better than OT Britt.

I would consider these guys over Bromley:
Calvin Barnett
Bruce Gaston
Zack Kerr
Ken Bishop
Viliami Moala

Bullough is slow for a Marinelli type LB.

yea I know but the kid has heart - he will be on every mock I make from now on

collected 299 career tackles in 53 games, including 40 starts . . . finished his career ranked 11th in MSU history in tackles for loss (30.5 for 103 yards) and 18th in tackles (299) . . .

Max Bullough is a natural born leader and well respected amongst his teammates as evidenced by being one of only 3 players in recent history to be elected a team captain in consecutive years.

Max Bullough has a long history of impeccable character and work ethic. He is a two time team captain and served as the quarterback of the # 1 ranked Michigan State defense. I am not going to hold one mistake against him. Defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi said,

“He is a computer on the field.”

He went on to say that there are days when Bullough is correcting the coaches, not vice-verse.

The biggest knock on Max Bullough has been he doesn’t possess excellent straight line speed and/or elite athleticism. I am here to tell you that when it comes to the Mike linebacker position, I am more concerned about football IQ, overall intelligence, instincts, leadership ability and good technique. I am not going to drop a high draft pick on a guy like OSU’s Shazier, just because he runs 4.35 40. Too many times scouts fall in love with an athlete instead of a football player. Jerry Rice was the 3rd receiver taken in the draft for the same reasons. There were similar knocks on former Cowboys such as Drew Pearson, Cliff Harris and Charlie Waters. Give me a smash mouth football player over a guy that’s impressive in gym shorts every time.

Marinelli type LB - which is big in Rod Marinelli's system.

Seran Lee 40 time - 4.71 seconds

Max Bullough - 4.78 seconds on Monday, second fastest among the seven inside linebackers who ran. He trailed only Western Kentucky's Avery Williamson 4.66 seconds

I think this make the most sense too, especially with having three other comp picks.

I've always assumed Jerry Rice had a mild case of Ebola or Rabies when he was timed in the 40.
