Is this guy seriously being talked about for #1 overall?
Now post their rushing stats, lol. They don't really play the same game.
Burrow's selling point coming out of LSU was his brain... he had the football IQ of an offensive coordinator, paired with the aggression of a 13yo kid playing Madden. His physical tools were good enough to pay off the latter, but they were pretty average overall.
Richardson has once-a-decade level physical tools - his closest comps are probably Cam Newton and Vince Young - with a redshirt freshman level of reading defenses and passing mechanics.
The dream with Richardson is that if you catch him up on coaching, you have a truly unlimited offensive weapon. A faster Josh Allen is within his range of outcomes. Even if he never develops further than Cam - who IMO was always kind of a slacker - Cam still won an MVP.
Burrow was a better prospect coming out of college, because there were no "ifs" with him. His game was fully developed and the dude was ready to roll. But this year, in this draft, Richardson is probably my QB1.
