Hi guys, just got through watching Mel Kiper Jr., and he said that he compares Mark Sanchez, to that of Troy Aikman, when he was playing in regards to accuracy, and decision making.

To me you can't compare a guy who hasn't played a down in the NFL yet, Sanchez, to a guy who has been there done that in when it comes to winning SBs, in Aikman.

What do you guys think?

He's not comparing him in terms of winning Super Bowls. He's comparing them in terms of their skillset.

If it solely based on accuracy than I can see that because Sanchez is extremely accurate.

But the 2 do not play the game a like at all.

Sanchez is going to give you a lot of the same things Cutler does.

He can make every throw and he can fit it in any window.

His biggest problem is he needed more PT in College and I think playing him early in the NFL will hurt him but you're almost forced to do it because he needs to play so badly.

I see where you're coming from.

I don't see it. Aikman could snap off throws with a short, quick release. Sanchez doesn't do that. I don't think his arm is as strong as being made out to be. Not that having a strong arm is a necessity to be successful in the NFL. His arm just looks average. USC generally played against a bunch of weak defenses, so it is difficult to determine how Sanchez is going to translate at the next level. Plus he played so little in college. From what I saw I think he will be an average NFL QB. Nothing wrong with that. You can make a decent career out of being an average QB.

Being an average QB in this league will get you picked in the 1st round.

I can see it..they both don't have "rocket arms" but are both accurate. Plus Mark Sanchez is a born leader. I can definitly see the comparison as far as skill set goes.

I don't know about that.

Aikman could bomb that sucker up until about 99.

So can Sanchez..I'm talking about velocity. They both throw catchable balls and know when to put a touch on it. Unlike Jamarcus where he bullets every pass.
