Can you conceal at a friends place of business without a permit but with permission from owner? I live in LV, Nevada by the way.

I'm not sure if I understand the question. Do you have a CCL? If so, you don't need his permission. If you don't have one then it really isn't legal for you even if he gives permission. Now, he has a right as a business owner to have a weapon on the premises, but that should not be on your person in the eyes of the law.

I live in Las Vegas as well. Hostile answered your question.

It is also legal to 'open carry' a pistol registered to you in Nevada ... although some places prohibit any weapons on property. Many folks feel open carry can be an invitation for trouble.

To 'legally' carry concealed in NV, you need 2 things.....

#1: a pistol registered to you through LVMPD

#2: a concealed carry permit

As Hos stated, having the permission of the owner does you no good as far as the law is concerned.

You're asking a question of this magnitude, where the consequences to you could be enormous, .. on a sports message board?

Wow!

There has to be somewhere else you can check.

You cannot have a concealed weapon at all without a permit except in your own residence I believe. (you really should check the laws in your area, you are asking a BBS in Texas, not Nevada. )

If you have a permit, a business owner can prevent you from carrying in his place of business. (at least in Texas) The rule of order was stated that if a business owner can say "No shirt, no shoes, no service", then he/she may also restrict concealed weapons.

The rules inside Las Vegas are a little different from the rest of the state.

I get that you are just sending out a feeler, but whether your friend says you can or not is of no importance.

Hit up local law enforcement and ask them.
