Concerned - If Bill leaves, will Romo survive

Benching Bledsoe pretty much sealed Parcells fate.....I think that Bledsoe could be the starter again in 2007 with a new coaching staff that recognizes Romo's shortcomings and lack of arm strengh.

Which other trolls are we missing from this thread?

I think its a serious concern... Romo is wild by nature... Bill seems to be losing some of that Mentor-Apprentice hold that he has on him.... Romo takes too many chances and it loose with the ball... Bill has always talked about "impulse" plays and how he hates them and the ratio will usually be against your team, not in favor....

So....

If Bill leaves... will it get worse?
If Bill stays.... can he right that ship?(hopefully he right it for THIS postseason)

Finally someone asked the question I have been pondering for quite some time now. Romo needs to be the man at the position period. Get him a freaking Oline!

If it takes Jerry mentioning that in a new HC's ear then so be it.

if Romo can play (and by "play", I mean be a good player in this league) it doesnt matter if Parcells is here or not...put him in a good system and he'll be fine

Parcells hasnt coached up anyone else here, I doubt he is solely responsible for Romo's development either

Fact: All the moxie in the world can't change the fact that Romo is incapable of throwing the ball more than 15 yards. ;)

That explains how he hit TO deep on that bomb last week, right?

Where were you when Romo was playing well and the team was winning?

Then you’re not watching the games. That is a flat out stupid statement. I like Bledsoe and have supported him but Romo has flat outplayed him and deserves the starter’s role because he has earned it. Moxie has nothing to do with anything Romo has confidence in himself and more important the players around him as confidence in him.

42 yard completion to Witten while under tremendous pressure to set up a game winning FG by Martin Grammatica.

56 yard TD to TO last week.

Flea Flicker to Terry Glenn last week.

Your credibility :shoot3:

there is a good chance that if Parcells leaves, Romo goes back to back up.

Bledsoe is done in Dallas. Get over him.

He's got plenty of arm strength, and decent accuracy - at least IMO - on all the throws.

What concerns me is his inexplicable tendency to sail the ball 5 feet over a receiver. He hasn't paid for it much yet, but that's begging the safeties to just sit there and bide their time, waiting for you to do it. He does it several times in nearly every game.

That is exactly what I am speaking of, he's trying to put a little more zip on it and loses accuracy. I hope he can adjust, but we'll have to watch.

Dallas Cowboys at 11:13
1-10-DAL1 (11:13) T.Romo up the middle to DAL 3 for 2 yards (E.Sims).
2-8-DAL3 (10:31) M.Barber left guard to DAL 3 for no gain (S.Wilson).
3-8-DAL3 (9:47) T.Romo to DAL -1 for -4 yards. FUMBLES, and recovers at DAL -1. T.Romo pass short left to T.Owens to DAL 20 for 17 yards (K.Kennedy) [D.Bly]. Romo fumbled the ball one-yard deep in the endzone before picking it up and throwing for the completion.
1-10-DAL20 (8:57) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass deep middle to J.Witten to DAL 44 for 24 yards (K.Kennedy).
1-10-DAL44 (8:18) T.Romo pass deep middle to T.Owens for 56 yards, TOUCHDOWN. Skinny post pattern for the score from right end.
M.Gramatica extra point is GOOD, Center-L.Ladouceur, Holder-T.Romo.
DET 30 DAL 31, Plays: 5 Yards: 99 Possession: 3:04.
