What are your thoughts on Eze in the 3-4? Can we count on him to be the lead OLB rusher like Ware was or have him be an undersized strong side while looking for a War Daddy in the draft?

He has a good pash rush technique arsenal so that’s to his benefit. As an OLB, they can move him a little, blitz inside and outside, same with Overshown….i think scheme changes can make him better by just utilizing him better….i think he still has a lot of potential to be a really good player. He was pretty good as a rookie, didn’t light up sack stats, but a year in, with other players being added into a new/better scheme, i very well could take a jump.

I think he was pretty good as a rookie on a defense which had no playmakers for half a season. His effort was consistent despite the garbage around him. I think he would play well as an OLB.
For sure he's taking one of the starting OLB positions. He earned it from his play last year. Question is, do we bulk him up to play Anthony Spencer's role or give him D Wares role.

My confidenceevel is all the way up to 100.

Out of 180.

If he keeps improving....I think he could become on of our 10 sack a year guys that gets steamroller in the running game like a squirrel on the interstate.

I’m confident he will be a good edge player (3-4,4-3) makes no matter.

I still think he’s better as the #2 guy though. So we need another edge either in the first round or a quality free agent.

Pretty darn high. EZ unquestionably has game.

He is NOT a Ware level rusher - you're comparing him to a Hall of Famer who made 7 straight All-Pro teams in Dallas. There's just no way you can look at EZ's 2 sacks from last year and project that level of success.

With that said, EZ is already a registered butt-kicker against the run and gets pressure at a decent percentage. I don't think he's a double-digit sacker, but he's earned a starting role.

Could be more Anthony Spencer than Ware. Good strongside player with some pass rush ability. Comparing him to an athletic freak like Ware is a stretch.

Hard to evaluate anyone in last years defense. I think he'll be in double digits by his third season. FWIW, neither SB team had a player with double digit sacks.

My guess is a DeMarcus Lawrence ceiling. Does everything consistently well but nothing great. Year 2 is when players normally make their biggest improvement so we will see in 6 months.

I believe that we have more pieces on defense that can fit a 3-4 base defense rostered now.
The defense will still need to invest in the draft, solid DB or two would not hurt.

Comparing him now, or ever, to Ware is a massive stretch.

I imagine he’ll be an average to above average pass rusher and that’s about it.

I think he was better against the run than more people gave him credit for, if anything I think he needs to work on pass rush
