Confident fan base here in Eagle-ville!!

Living in the South Jersey area, the talk on the sports radio by the fans and local media have for the most part very positive. Fans alike think this game is a shoe in. Citing the "choke" in the Cowboys and the Eagles success in 1st rd games, is the mantra. While the birds have won their share of games in round 1, I still dont get the overwhelming confidence??? I admit to being wary of this game. I respect the Eagles as an opponent, probably more than any other in the NFC. Oh to just be able to tell them all to stick it come Sat around midnight!!

also love hearing all the trash talk coming from the Eagles....just keep it focused Cowboys and leave it out on the field.

The national media, as a whole, thinks the last game was just a fluke. Andy Reid does have a good track record of bouncing back from losses.

However, the Eagles team we saw on Saturday night was flat with no emotion. It looked like they weren't confident in the gameplan they had coming in.

IMO, if the Eagles come out with an emotion level of anything less than the first time we played them this year (in Philly) they don't stand a chance.

Exactly. They were fired up with a home crowd on their side earlier this year, blitzed like crazy, threw like crazy, ran like crazy, and still lost.

Our defense is playing 100 times better than it was back then.

Very true, and our offense is playing keep away. No cheap turnovers!

The offense can get a little better in sustaining drives and avoiding dumb penalties, but I don't have much more to complain about.

Defense is playing better than I could have ever dreamed of.

Also, kudos to the kickoff coverage team over the past 4 games. The struggled against the Giants, but have held everyone in check since. Teams are having to sustain long 80+ yard drives to score on us, and that is a huge help.

I took my son to play hockey last night and a big mouth Eagle fan up here was yapping that the Eagles sandbagged the game (I had my Cowboys sweatshirt on) and that they would win next week. He was talking to another guy but I yelled out yeah right, they deliberately gave up the second seed so they could play us again. Needless to say he didn't respond.

He then started asking his friends if any of them could break his $100.00 and they all said no, they weren't in his league. I was tempted to walk over, open my wallet and give him five $20s for the $100.00 but figured, nah, why push his member in any further than it already was.

We beat them not with big plays or trickery. We just marched the ball up and down the field on them at will on offense.

Against our defense, they put together maybe two decent drives the whole game and put no points on the board.

They have lots of big play weapons so I won't say they can't win. I like our chances to beat them 90% of the time at home. Their only chances is a couple big plays on offense and maybe forcing 3 or 4 TOs that generate some points.

This is the most confident I've been going into a Philly game since the triplets were in their prime.

I also live in south jersey (cherry hill) i wouldn't say the local media is very confident... you still have the obnxious eagles fans running there mouths in which response i give to them talk to me saturday night... O it would be awesome if we can win this one i am gonna lay into each and everyone of these idiots!!! Gotta stay focused until then....

I am sorry, but, I know the defense is playing well and all. But, there are still blown coverages and missed tackles. To me, this defense is playing very well. But, dominant? Scary good? I don't see that. Close, but not yet.

Dallas needs to play lights out on both sides of the ball for them to have a chance.

It won't be the same egals team that shows up. This should be a great game and I pray Dallas comes out on top.

The media for the most part is killing McNabb for his comments about the the team showing it's youth in Sundays game and his disposition during the game. They felt that McNabb should have been more of a leader when they were losing the game and that may have shown the youth to have faith in the game.

A lot of the mediots feel this could be McNabb last game as an Eagle if they lose. I don't know how or why they would want to just get rid of their best QB in team history. Yea, he's never won a SB but he's been one of the main reasons that the Eagles have been successful the past 10 years.

Also, last night on one of the sports stations (950AM ESPN Radio) during the linebackers show, one of the Eagles linebackers said that this Cowboys team is no better then last year and the Eagles beat themselves.
Something like that. I couldn't believe he would say something like that after the beating they took a few days ago. He said they all had a false sense of security about themselves because the fans and media felt that the Cowboys would just roll over again, much like last year. Basicly he said the team felt that all they had to do was show up and they would win because the Cowboys would just choke again.
