Marcus Spears confirmed what I believe. If there is a player worth trading up for on the DL and is Marcus Spears best player in the draft, it is Ed Oliver, DL, Houston.

I do not think the Cowboys have a snow ball chance in hell to trade up for him. Oliver averaged 64 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 18 tackles for loss his 3 seasons as a Cougar. But Oliver's numbers and play will have Marinelli dreaming and pleading to Jones reminding him of his favorite DT player...Warren Sapp

Throw in a side Taco, and done deal.
Funny. But no.2 2019, no.1 2020, Jones, Gathers, and a side Taco may work.

However, I like sticking to the 3 year rule for premium draft picks. So maybe trade Sean Lee instead of a side Taco and move on. I know Lee is one of "Jerry's Kids"

I don't think Dallas has any tradeable assets to jump up and grab this guy, but I do know that McClay, Marinelli, and the Jones boys love this guy.

I love Oliver... but a snowball actually has a better chance in hell than Dallas has of trading up for him.

Actually.
I rather they stay put this year. Do not give up any picks this year or next.

Was half joking about Taco. I want to see what he can do in year 3, does he dedicate himself this year, does they list get brighter.
I also think Jones is fine, and hope his hip is ready to go by game 1. Not concerned with him in TC as much.

Gathers, not impressed. But if the take a TE, they better use that pick to replace Gathers, not waste it as a TC body or "future" player to try to stash on the PS. However, if no TE, and the ride with Gathers again, he best produce, or be out after this. I think Witten, Jarwin and Schultz will be fine.

It wouldn't work to trade up that far without giving up a first this year. To trade up from 58 to mid top ten would probably include a player like Byron Jones, a 2nd and 3rd this year and probably a 1st and 2nd next year. That's the minimum. They might not even accept that. I wouldn't.

Literally no way in hell. It’s one thing to jump from the 20’s into the top 5-6 but from 58 to 5-10 is insanity.

Check the mocks out. I am only telling what I have read, hell it's all a guessing game right? Daniel Jermiah has him going 4th overall to the Raiders. We shall see.

It's well know that Oliver is the Cowboys favorite player in this draft.

It's also not worth discussing because there is zero possibility of them being able to draft him.
