To trade up into the top 10? Throw in another 1st, then maybe.
That tells you that the Draft over rates things. No player is worth 3 #1's unless its a can't miss once in a life time player. And Rico too. SMH;) He has had some Knee problems as well.

There’s a better chance that Halle Berry comes knocking at my door with a NY style pizza pie, in her birthday suit. Than us trading up that high.

I don't think Dallas has any tradeable assets to jump up and grab this guy, but I do know that McClay, Marinelli, and the Jones boys love this guy.
I think they just wait for him to bomb out with whoever picks him and then go get him. We call that the Cowboy Way.

a lot of time and effort went into writing about a guy we'll never have a chance to get.

This team goes years without going after top tier DTs now they supposed to trade up from the back of the 2nd round to top 10?

Marcus Spears confirmed what I believe. If there is a player worth trading up for on the DL and is Marcus Spears best player in the draft, it is Ed Oliver, DL, Houston.

I do not think the Cowboys have a snow ball chance in hell to trade up for him. Oliver averaged 64 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 18 tackles for loss his 3 seasons as a Cougar. But Oliver's numbers and play will have Marinelli dreaming and pleading to Jones reminding him of his favorite DT player...Warren Sapp

Trading up is almost never worth it.

No. Either let JJ start drinking this morning so he passes out before the draft. Or don’t let him start until 10pm. If he gets that just right buzz he will trade all next years pick to move up to get a player that’s never played a snap in the NFL. Set tight and party tomorrow night JJ. See what gift falls to you. Something always does.

I would love to know and hear teams that moved up and used 2 first round picks to move up for a player. Then that player never panned out.

Anyone remember any examples right off hand.
