What always cracks me up is that the league is trying to go global but keeps force feeding international fans the Jaguars.

There had been speculation that the Jaguars would move to London before they got their new stadium deal.

Of course that might have been tied to leverage for that new stadium, but that's why they were so willing to play annual London games.

My guess is the NFL wanted to do market research and testing by having one team return annually so they could see how fans in that area would react to some semblance of a "home team".

In other words, I think they wanted to see 1) if the same fans returned every year and 2) if it led to increased sales of Jaguars merchandise.

From a players point of view, the cabooses in Brazil are very different from the ones in Australia......im thinking the players are rooting to play in Brazil.

European and Latin American pro soccer leagues did not expand into the United States. A pro soccer league now exists in the United States. And is slowly, but surely, gaining in popularity.

The NFL plans to be the only major professional football league in the world.

Well that would ruin it, but since Roger’s only job is to increase the pot annually, the money grab thing will likely continue.

These owners will never be satisfied with the grand slam of status quo.

This is great,. Madrid is a fabulous city and they love the NFL . Cowboys are big there. London as well.

Yes, it was maybe 4 years ago, or 5 or 6 can't remember. I think we played Jacksonville, as one of their home games. But there were still more Cowboys fans. So like a home game for Dallas.

EDIT...it was November 9th 2014 against the Jaguars. I was way off.

Not a fan - I get it from league perspective - still not a fan.

I’m not either. Weird starting times. Hard on the players witj all the travel. But I get the business side of it. I’m not a fan of going to 18 games but it’s gonna happen because of the extra money. I hated shortening the pre season because it hurts players on the bottom of the roster. They need those reps. But I get the business aspect. Football is becoming less about the sport and more about the business.

Field quality, and you cant tell me a long flight like that back and forth dosent cause fatigue. Especially if its mid season. Bye week or not after it dosent matter, the bodyb dosent recover properly

The teams are obviously on a rotational basis.

If the teams depended on voluntary participation, then I fear the Cowboys would be playing overseas every single season.

The opportunity to expand their fanbase and viewership would be just too lucrative for Jerry to pass up.

I’m not asking for it, but you would think if the NFL wants to showcase the brand internationally, they’d schedule marquee teams like the Cowboys, Chiefs, et cetera.

Internationally, people know the Dallas Cowboys like Americans know Manchester United even if they don’t follow euro football/soccer.
