There had been speculation that the Jaguars would move to London before they got their new stadium deal.What always cracks me up is that the league is trying to go global but keeps force feeding international fans the Jaguars.
Of course that might have been tied to leverage for that new stadium, but that's why they were so willing to play annual London games.
My guess is the NFL wanted to do market research and testing by having one team return annually so they could see how fans in that area would react to some semblance of a "home team".
In other words, I think they wanted to see 1) if the same fans returned every year and 2) if it led to increased sales of Jaguars merchandise.
