I'm having difficulty understanding the confusion of the Cowboys offence.
I believe this is the third time I have witnessed a Bledsoe/Parcells led offence with a bit of Payton in for good measure that wasn't able to take advantage of the urgency of the final seconds in the red zone to convert for points.
It seems to me that the game is often left to Bledsoe who we all know is fairly limited in his play making ability. He's basically going to throw from the pocket.
I was surprised that we have not seen a roll out in a situation like the final seconds of this game to throw the defence off and buy Bledsoe some time to look for a receiver.
I'm not sure if being status quo is the appropriate way to present yourself to a stunned defence in the dying seconds of a game on the road for the tie.
Parcells and company should have a set of scripted plays they can go to that will allow the offence to methodically work the endzone and get Drew the throws or Barber/Jones the lanes they need run to get seven yards.
Bledsoe seemed frantic and unable to control the tempo of the play. The last throw seemed hurried and ill timed given the defensive coverage they had
Witten in.
Times like these are excellent opportunities to present late screens, shovel passes, delayed draws and QB rollouts. Any significant misdirection may be successful.
