we'll we aren't the only ones. See http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/ for article (a little down the page) titled Cowboys Gamble With Future. Interesting comments on events at VR. Mentions Cowboys were competitive team in 05 & assumption was that addition of RT, FS, K & LB would do it. Well, doesn't look like Jones & Parcells are following the plan. First clue, almost not a clue, was releasing Glover (which was expected). Had Cowboys stopped there, the plan was on track. However, it was following by not resigning Campbel & now cutting Keyshaw, a Parcells man all the way. Some moves were smart, some calculated risks but signing of TO is real risk cause we would be putting everything in one basket.

Most of us understand necessity of cutting Glover & not resigning Campbell & even cutting Keyshawn but in Key's case only if we have a WR to replace him. Doesn't look like any deal with TO is any where near done and might not even be in the works. Which leaves us to wonder what is going on? If no TO, will we resign Key and/or add at least 1 more WR. In that case why did we wait until best of so-so class has been picked over. But same holds true also for slow pace of our FA signings. I know it only 5th day of FA, but while we've added versatile OL player in Kosier & Ayodale will be our ILB replacing Dat we've yet to directly address RT, FS, K, OLB & now WR, etc. Since FB Sowell (Jets) coming in Friday, he'd be upgrade at FB replacing Polite & signing McGinest for reasonable price would be big upgrade while giving time for whoever we draft at OLB to develop. But questions at other needs positions still remain.

Finally will LA get cut? With Glover, Dat & Keyshawn's departures, we've gotten younger & certainly LA wondering if he will be around after 1 April. Cowboys may be moving at snail's pace in FA but they still manage to make waves. As for possibly bringing Molds on once he released, don't see what he brings that Keyshawn didn't.

Many folks here are mystified by what the Cowboys are (and are not) doing in FA. Getting a proven kicker was the one thing I was sure would happen this FA period. It hasn't happened and I don't get why.

Vanderjact will be a huge upgrade if we don't land Vinateri.
Sure looks to me we are going cheap at position (again)

The chicken little police want to sit back and smile, drink kool aid. But we have not addressed DT depth, WR depth, TE Depth, Tackle, PK, FS. We've added a fringe starting Guard and replaced Fujita at LB..... And cut Key for $1M Bonus.

Lets say the TO signing never happens. How are we doing in Free Agency? I say what are we doing?

I have to admit that I am surprised how quiet we have been after hearing all about how "agressive" we were going to be. Like most, I feel that to date we have created more new holes than we have plugged old ones and that is confusing. I like what I have heard about both our FA signings thus far and welcome both players to the family but, more is needed. Maybe there is still a flurry waiting with Vinatieri, McGinest, Sowell, Fabini.

With regards to WR; if I were running things and we did not sign TO, I would be on the phone with Green Bay working out a deal for Javon Walker. Then I would resign Key and look to pick up another WR in the later rounds of the draft. That should solidify the WR position for a while.

I have to trust that Jerry and Co. have a plan. **fingers crossed**
