I know how each and every one of you feel. It feels great to be on the good side of the complete evisceration's like we all witnessed Saturday night. It was a humbling (and infuriating from my perspective) loss.

To lay down like that two weeks in a row...ugh. My boys showed no ounce of fight and that is what sucks the most. I hate losing. So even a 24-21 loss would have hurt, but not like a 34-14 drubbing.

The Cowboys were clearly the better team the past several weeks, and for most of the season. They had their rough spots with Roy Williams, Jason Garrett and others...but they ironed them out in time to "sting some *****".

The game(s) were won and lost on the lines. To me, the X's and O's stop at the point of attack. No pressure on Romo, while Donovan was scrambling for his life. All day to throw versus no time to go through route progressions.

Thanks, TD. Yes, that win was very sweet, indeed!

Unfortunately, I know that's not the last gasp of your Eagles. IMO, this rivalry will be even more heated as your team seethes on the 3 losses in a row

Thanks for your kind remarks regarding our team.

See ya next year when it all starts over again at 0-0.

Yeah, I betcha the first meeting next year will be in Dallas on Sunday Night and the second meeting will be in Philly on the last Sunday of the regular season.

evisceration. When did truck drivers start learning words like that?

I expect them to be barn burners as usual. You guys are young and churned the heck out of your roster and still won 11 games and went to the playoffs (damn-it! I was hoping y'all would drop off the map for a while)

Do you think Kolb is ready to take over? He looked pretty good when I saw him play earlier this year.

Not resigning Dawkins may have been good for the long term, but I think he was really missed by your D. I respect the heck out of that guy, but I'm glad he's out of Philly

It goes without saying our 44-6 whipping last year was a motivational awakening.
You guys will be fine and we have many years to look forward to.
Now if only we can get those Commanders back in the hunt.

Haha. I'm not a truck driver. When I signed up for this forum way back when, I picked the s/n because at the time I was watching an interview with ex-Eagles DT Sam Rayburn. Derrick Burgess nicknamed him Truck Driver because, well, he looks like someone who should have been hauling cattle around the country in a Kenworth rather than playing football.

No doubt. The rivalry is as hot as its ever been, so I fully expect them to be showcased on a FOX national game (which FOX will hold onto tighter than Joe Buck clenched his jaw in rage when Moss fake mooned Lambeau) and a Sunday nighter.

See, the thing with Reid is it means we will always be competitive. He drafts relatively well, they know how to maneuver the cap (not that it matters if we go uncapped), Lurie has money. Reid's biggest problem is his inability to adjust on the fly. So we'll hang around awhile waiting for them to catch lightning in a bottle and maybe win one.

Kolb? Not sold. Not quite yet. I'm a McNabb guy. I have been since (before) day one. Was thrilled we drafted him and loved giving those chodes the finger wh booed him on draft day.

Kolb's biggest problems, thankfully, are correctable. He holds the ball too long. That release will speed up when the games slows down. And he has a penchant for bad picks at bad times. That too can be fixed with time. At least I hope.

My guess is they will end up trading him and extending McNabb.

Hell no, man! Let the Commanders languish in the land of irrelevancy. What's better than logging into ExtremeSkins and laughing at their unabashed homerism?

I mean, when Shanahan eventually flops....I'm going to be over there reading for hours laughing my *** off.

For an Eagles fan, I'm starting to like you...

Do not be fooled by the devil!

Trucker driver is just the spawn of Satan who wants to inflilatrate and then try to laugh at us.
He is an Eagles fan.
Normally he'd be on a street corner near Vinnie's Pizza and Social Club and the O'Mally Grill and Men's Club. Going out for cheesteak and buying gold chains to hang around their necks.
Truck driver is a low down devil in the guise of the wistful Eagels fan.
Now what is wrong with that last sentence. Yes, wistful and Eagles do not go together. Wistful to the Eagles fan is like wolfbane to Dracula.
Eagles fans are like little annoying vampires. Except they don't look like that Pattinson sissy and look more like Ernest Borgnine and stuff.
He's the life of the party with Stella Stevens and Dorothy Malone on his arms. Yeah, the truck driver is going down that road to Beezlebulb Road that intersects with the road to ruin.

Jesus wept. So do not be fooled by the devil!

And at the time I was watching and interview with the treasury secretary who discussed short-term transfers to China on PBS and thought to myself, if not a truck driver, so what are you an office geek?

I think with Westbrook's aging and Jim Johnson's passing, the Eagles have begun to lose a large part of their identity. Granted, you've never been much of a running team, but Westbrook was always the perfect back for Reid's system -- a guy who can do the most with the least amount of carries, and had the versatility to flex out at receiver and wreck havoc in the screen game. That is long gone, and McCoy doesn't look to be the same type of player despite his breath-taking speed.

Defensively, I just don't think you're very scary anymore, which is plain weird. There aren't many dynamic players on your defense -- Cole and Samuel, but even they were neutralized by us basically all three times. Sure, you're able to manufacture sacks, but the system seems to leave a lot more gaping holes than it did under Johnson. I know a lot of people have tried to minimize the importance of Johnson's loss since McDermott was his protege, but how often is the understudy as good as the head honcho? There wasn't as much dropoff as with New York losing Spagnoulo, but it was close IMO.

This, along with the well-chronicled issues of not having a receiver you can feed the ball, McNabb's inaccuracy in the intermediate and short game, and the line play are your issues IMO.

Don't get me wrong -- your Eagles are a very respectable team who, had they not run into us in the first round, might have fought for an NFC championship game appearance. They'll be in the mix again next year. But taking a critical look, those are the problems I see.

By the way, thanks for the classy congratulatory post...This fanbase needed that game very badly.

I think that w/ all the injuries the Eagles sustained, and as someone mentioned, the death of Coach Johnson it is absolutely incredible that they had the season they did. For a while it looked as if they were going to run away w/ the POs.

I can't tell you how good this makes me feel that the Cowboys were able to beat this team two weeks in a row and even post a shutout in one of the games. I have no explanation how this team came to life and played the way they did after the 2 losses to start December. I was sure they would lose-out, Wade would be fired and we'd be starting over w/ yet another coach.

But this turn-around for our team is equally incredible. When you see how they can play, you have to wonder why don't they do this every week. It must be that it is too hard to keep up the intensity every week, and makes me appreciate what the Pats did a couple of years ago. I have no doubt they would have been 19-0 if not for Brady's injuries.

I think Andy Reid is a great coach and that the Eagles will be back next year with a fully recovered roster. It will also be interesting to see what the Commanders do. For now, I'm just watching the last game over again and enjoying every minute of it...
