I'll never forgive Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for calling Dirk a "one-trick pony".

Not only is that stupid, has there ever been more of a one-trick pony than Kareem?

Dirk's offensive efficiency is on par with Jordan for the best of all-time.
He's never been a plus defender but his length and rebounding have always been underrated tools to go with insane scoring efficiency.

He was a forerunner of the the stretch 4 position obviously but also for position-less basketball.

His 2011 playoff run was a top 10 all-time playoff performance.

I don't exactly where he will rank when all is said and done but he's definitely top 25.

Not a Mavs fan, but it was so much fun watching Dirk. There wasnt 4's like him and like jterrell a forerunner of the stretch 4.

I like poking fun at Dirk, I cannot stand him. I feel he was way too soft most of his career.....he should have been a better rebounder and shot blocker. Also, I hated how he would fall down when shooting and draw a foul, even though no defender touched him. Also hated when he would run into his own teammate, fall down, and draw a foul.

Still, he could score and shoot like an assassin. He is the reason Dallas was a legit threat in the west for a decade plus. Cuban really did him wrong by not surrounding him with better talent for much of his career.

I am a Spurs fan. He is a Mav. He is the reason we didn't play the Heat in 2006 for the Title. So yes, great player, but I hate him as a basketball player. If that bothers you, oh well. You are a grown up, I am sure you will recover sufficiently.
