George Pickens talks Cowboys' scheme, tandem with CeeDee Lamb; more

"A different scheme could allow me to do more," he said. "It's a good thing. … College is probably the most recent time I've played with a lot of guys with speed — a lot of guys this fast. … Team speed applies to the scheme, too. So if you got a lot of fast guys, you're definitely gonna have a different scheme."

"A lot of motions," Pickens said of the playbook. "A lot of things that you get an indicator on what the defense is doing before you say hike. Some coaches don't do that."

"You can't cover everybody," said tight end Jake Ferguson of the addition of Pickens. "Having him, No. 88 and Jalen [Tolbert], and some of the young guys like myself, Brevyn [Spann-Ford] and [Luke] Schoonmaker, you physically can not cover everybody. I think it's going to be really hard for defenses against our pass game, but then we'll run the ball, too."

Hmmm,
You don't have to cover everyone. You just have to pressure the QB into mistakes. That will cause Pickens to be unhappy.and next thing you know there is finger pointing and things start to tumble as losses pile up.

I know you want that to happen but that doesn’t mean it will. Keep hating as I can tell it makes you happy.

Wait till GP starts crying on the field, just like he did in Pitt.

He’s doing the talk, but that attitude is jacked.

I wanted the Cowboys to draft Pickens. I thought he was the best WR in that draft.

Now he's a Cowboy.

I liked Tolbert too. Now, all we need is Cropper in the mix and the Cowboys will have an All Pass2Run WR room. Lol

This contract year is the most critical for him to be a model citizen.....after he gets paid, I suppose it can go either way, lol
May not be enough, but this year is the best chance in his career to fly right.
Looking back, he'll want to prove the Steelers wrong, and looking forward, he'll want to cash in.
Hold it together for half a year now, and he gets everything he wants. Can he do it?

Even with the best "handlers" once these kind of guys emotions spool up, its potentially explosive in the heat of a game......the one thing we CAN predict is that if the Cowboys are losing, there will be a dedicated sideline camera locked in on Pickens for any iota of disgruntlement.

Its what they want to happen

I expect a PF or two. I'll live with that. Impulse control, or lack thereof, is a thing.

Just keep it under control on the sidelines and off the field.

I think that's the reasonable behavioral ceiling for Pickens.

Apparently someone here feels this team of Cowboys aren't able to put on cleats and walk onto the carpet...

Pickens’ new quarterback, Dak Prescott , views the situation differently.

The veteran signal caller is no stranger to sharing the locker room with players from various backgrounds and attitudes. Prescott refrains from harboring a predetermined picture of someone’s reputation.

During a recent press conference, Prescott asserted that it’s best to avoid judging an individual through the lens of someone else.

I think you should judge everyone, not judge but find out for yourself who they are and allow them to reveal their character to you.
