the Cowboys O.Line coach. (did I get spelling right on last name?) At any rate........I like this line right now. Of course Flo has to reduce his penalties on the road(I still say it's because he's deaf in one ear on the false starts) but Columbo, Gurode, Kosier and Davis are rolling people. If they can stay healthy, I like our chances. Also-Mcquistan blasting Archuletta out of bounds was sweet last night too!!!! ( I hope we keep Tony on the staff for years to come: future O. Coordinator when Red becomes head coach?)

It's funny, when he had Torrin Tucker and Rob Pettiti as his protege's, he was public enemy #1.

The old line about silk purse out of a cows rear end is still true now. By the way, is petitti still unclaimed?

We often talk about the number of high drafts picks spent on our defense but we haven't done the same thing for our offense yet it continues to perform at a high level and certainly the OL has a big responsibility for that. Here's another look at how our OL came together:

Just want to point out we've got some legit draft picks on our OL; it's just that we didn't draft them but brought 3 in as FAs.

1. OT Flozel Adams was drafted by the Cowboys in 2nd round of 98.
2. C Andre Gurode was drafted by the Cowboys in 2nd round pick of 02.
3. OT/OG Leonard Davis was drafted by the Cards as overall #2 pick in 01 draft, signed by us early this year.
4. OT Marc Colombo was drafted by the Bears in 1st round of 02, was seriously injuried & signed by Cowboys in 05 while still rehabbing his knee.
5. OG Kyle Kosier was drafted by SF in 02 as a 7th rounder; went to Detroit & came to us as a FA.

In last 2 years we have added depth on our OL.
1. OT Pat McQuistan (7th rounder) saw lot of action in preseason but also against the Bears raced down the field to stop the return for a TD of a Bear after recovering the blocked field goal. He's our primary backup TO.
2. OT Doug Free drafted in 4th round who someday hopefully replaces Flo
3. OT James Marten drafted in 3rd round who needs longer time if he ever to replace Colombo at RT. Given how well Colombo playing, seems lucky we re-sign Colombo to continue starting at RT.

I still think Sporano is just ok...he isnt Tony Wise or Hudson Houck in any sense of the imagination

for instance, if Drew Bledsoe would have been the QB last night he'd have been sacked 6-8 times...Romo avoided a number of sacks with his athletic ability
