Congratulations Jerry!

He deserves to make it for what he has done for the success of the NFL as we know it. He has been a huge factor in all of that. He is def a pioneer as far as current owners. He is inducted an an owner and a pioneer. And he deserves it for sure. Im happy for him. He is in the hall of fame for his accomplishments as an OWNER

I could not believe that Jerry didn't cry once last night. I thought he would through the entire speech.

He cries on the radio and during interviews all the time over nothing. Very sentimental in his older age. Simplest things get him choked up.

That amazed me.

Jerry is the same big fan with a bigger pocket book I first met in 1989 at the Green Bay hotel before the Cowboy game as a member of the original and first Dallas Cowboys Travel Club which afforded us a close up look with the team on the road .

I watched his enthusiasm and passion up close for several years on the road, as a season ticket holder along with encounters at the Cowboys hotel and practices at Training Camp. Always a great ambassador for the game and the Cowboys off the field .

He's been able to live out his dreams coaching and running a football team in the NFL. He didn't have the talent nor coaching skills to play his way in and after his failed bid in 1960's to buy the Chargers he looked for means to generate the money to buy a team.

To his credit and pursuit Jerry was finally able to following his passion at the expense of longtime Cowboy fans who never wanted an owner like Jerry. That doesn't make him a bad man or owner just not what we'd become accustomed to after 30 years with the most respectfully ran franchise in the NFL.

Many original Cowboy fan critics said we could only tolerate an owner like Jerry if he won which he did early on and why most fans from the previous era have defined his tenure a love/ relationship.
