Ellis was a former Pro Bowl Cowboy, college All-Amercan, and a high-character guy.

Good for him.
UNC has a great history of pass-rushers...maybe even the best in that area.

Lawrence Taylor
Julius Peppers
Robert Quinn
William Fuller
Greg Ellis
Vonnie Holliday
and others

I don’t care what area you’re in, that appears to be the best in any area or school.

Love greg but every time i hear his name i.get nightmares of what could have been with randy moss
Randy Moss would not have made any real difference by the time he would have gotten here, the team had deteriorated too much

I hear you. I remember how flabbergasted we drafted him over Moss. Thank Chan Gailey.

It’s not Eliss’ fault the Cowboys drafted him though. I respect the career he ended up having; 84 career sacks is a really solid number.

Congrats. He was not the same player after breaking his leg. He looked like he had Hall of Fame potential before that.

Maybe. He rebounded quite well considering the injury. You have to consider that in addition to breaking his leg, he also had to learn the different techniques of playing the 3-4 when Parcells arrived a couple years later. You could pencil him in for 8 sacks most seasons.

Yep. Looking back on it now, he would've wasted his prime years languishing on a bad tam with no QB. Aikman was done by 2000 and Jerry was in peak Jerry form showing his incompetence at this time.

Yeah, thatiswhat I meant.
by “that area” I meant pass rushers. Should've worded it better
