There seems to be a lot of bitterness here surrounding the game last night. I thought I would start a thread that takes the high road, and offer congratulations on behalf of Cowboy fans everywhere to the 6 Time Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers.

Pittsburgh was a great team this year and thoroughly deserving of a championship. Hell, if I had to choose an NFL team to have more Super Bowls than the Boys, I would much rather it be the Steelers than the hated Niners. (Or God forbid the Commanders or Giants!)

Pittsburgh fans, enjoy this moment because it can be a very long time before it comes again. You never know when you will enter a 13 year stretch without a playoff win! Looking forward to the 2009 NFL Season!

Good news is: ONLY 6 DAYS TILL DAYTONA! GENTLEMEN, START YOUR ENGINES!

I agree. I hated to see them get their 6th SB but they went through 16 weeks to get to the post season and then went through the playoffs to make the SB and when the chips were down they pulled off an impressive win so to the Steelers congratulations on being the World Champs you earned it.

all i can say is,

the steelers focused on football

the steelers had a qb that knows when to stay home for big playoff games, not to play pop aritz, be serious about football,

a head coach that will work the players, even when a player comes up to complain, tomlin told him otherwise, and isnt a powder puff for having players practice and hit in practice

and a owner that doesnt allow distractions and when distractions occur, they discipline that player,

thats the difference in the steelers and cowboys, a leader of a head coach, leaders on the team that keep players in check and accoutable, and an owner that lets the head coach run the team

Exactly! If I had been living under a rock for the entire NFL season and logged onto CZ today, I would have thought the Cowboys had just lost the Super Bowl judging by some people's reactions.

You're right, EMT! Congrats to the Steelers...they balled their ***** off this year. To make it through the toughest NFL schedule and win the whole enchilada does merit some appreciation...:clap2:

OK, THAT'S ENOUGH!!!

:steelers: ;)

Can we trade Jerry Jones for Dan Rooney?

Hell, I'd even trade Jones for Mickey Rooney! Or Andy Rooney!

As long as you don't include Harrison in that statement. That was the unclassiest, unsportsmanlike b.s. I've ever seen. Rothlesberger is ok though and seems like a good guy.

My Cornflakes tasted salty this morning. After wishing a great many horrible body function malfunctions on the Rooneys throughout the night, I decided to call my friend, a steelers fan, and tell him that I hated him and his team.

That's about as close as I can get to congrats right now, but I will say that Big Ben is the real deal.

Thanks for this thread. I did not want to get involved with all the crying and complaining about refs in the other threads.

The Steelers earned their victory against a very determined Cardinals team. I enjoyed watching the game. It came down to the Steelers making a play when they had to. I am no a fan of Holms, but he did make a heck of a catch. I give props to Ben for moving his team in the closing moments. I hate that the Steelers are now ahead of our Cowboys in terms of SB wins, but facts are facts. Hats off to the Steelers. I also give props to Arizona who gave Pitts all it could handle;)
Now, I pray Pittsburgh's one win lead over Dallas disappears next February :star:
