Not a big fan of Bones and no not the guy on Star Trek but the punter Anger seems to put the opposing team back on its heels with either fair catches or driving the return man back for our coverage to show up. I would think he’s ranks top 10 in net avg and Zuerlein has caused some issues especially opening night but the game winning 56 yarder was a thing of beauty .

These two shouldn’t be considered a weakness which is a good thing . Very few shanks in Angers game film. Field position .

We've had some really good kickers in the past, so maybe my expectations are a little high.

Missing two extra points in the first four games earns a little concern, in my opinion. Resigning another kicker after the first game for a week doesn't exactly inspire confidence, either. The "Zuerlein Watch" is still in effect.

I agree extra points should be a dunk for an NFL kicker glad he’s got the leg for 50 plus though and Anger can flip the field. Don’t see a lot of shanks or long punt returns

Our punter is good. Our kicker is not. I am spoiled by being able to get up and get a drink or go to bathroom if it’s a EP or 50 yard or under FG. I am nervous with a EP. I know in recent years they moved the EP back and it’s not a gimmie but I expect those. The missed chip shot and EP in the bucs game put us changing the way we play and the other team also. I did not expect him to make the 60 yarder but seeing him the next week nail the game winner let’s me know he has the leg. Greg the leg. We need that guy. He is getting better. 7 potential points missing in the opener sucked. I know it was brady and if it wasn’t a 8 point lead or more and give him a minute we could have lost anyways. But would have been nice to make him try to score the td to win. Our Defense plays better than previous years.

Perceptions are not always reality

Probably a bit of all of it
He has a high number of TB which hurts your avg
Coverage has given up some returns but his hang time is not the greatest
It’s early so a couple of returns make a huge difference

Another aspect of ST , I’m not real big on Tony Pollard returning kicks. He’s critical to the offense as another weapon I say someone not in the game package used to return kicks & punts. Cee Dee Lamb on punts hmmm no other options for these 2 jobs Bones ?


Where’s Reggie Davis or Dixon when you need them ….probably no room on game day to carry that slot . Of course they would double on kick coverage as well and emergency wide outs during a game

We need a better KO return guy than Pollard. And to be smarter.
