DeCastro initially struggled with power when he first got into the league. He had good feet , intelligence , and could pull really well. After two years he put on some weight and now is one of the best guards in the NFL. Williams reminds me a lot of DeCastro when he was younger.

Gotta invest and ride with him, it will pay off. He needs to add 15 pounds and hit the weight room in the offseason. I’m confident he’s going to be really special though.

Williams is the least of our concern long term. He should be vastly improved come next season.
He and LVE looked to be big contributors for the next few years.

Super post and interesting comparison.

Both are 6’5”...both as you say have super feet and open field/second-level skills. I am equally adament that he’s going to be good with experience and some added bulk/strength. O-linemen peak later than other positions.

Guy is pretty darn good actually. He's lean though.......looks like a RT to me

I like him.

La'el Collins needs to be playing left guard.

I really don't know why this is so hard.

I was a big time fan of DeCastro coming out of that draft hoping to get him.
I think the Conner and DeCastro comparison is spot on.

Conor Williams may turn into a David Decastro next year, but right now he’s David the Turnstile. He is getting manhandled at times and Dak is suffering the consequences. Get him off the field. I am sick of hearing about how good everyone thinks he is going to be in the future. Right now he is way below average. He looks like a midget standing between Smith and Looney. He physically does not have the size our strength right now!!! The reason he played well vs the Giants is they play a 3-4 and there was not a big body lined up over him.

Frederick and Martin really spoiled us as far as rookie interior OL are concerned. Both were very much outliers

He is good.... But I question that RT suggestion!

RT's better have a quick kick step, then set on his base. #52 is getting pushed back at LG presently ... If he slides out to RT-- he's going to get killed on the bullrush DE's we face. Maybe 4 years down the ROAD, but not anytime soon IMO
