Connor Halliday QB

Although it came in a loss to Cal, Washington State RS senior QB Connor Halliday (6-4 | 198 | 4.87 | #12) had a record-breaking performance Saturday night, passing for a FBS-record 734 yards, breaking Houston's David Klinger's old mark of 716 passing yards in 1990. Halliday finished 49-for-70 with six touchdowns and no interceptions and leads the country in several passing categories, thriving in Mike Leach's pass-happy system. Entering the year, Halliday received priority free agent grades from scouting services, but he's making scouts dig a little deeper with his productive 2014 season.

What does Halliday have in common with Kliff Kingsbury, Graham Herrell, and another guy I can't remember right now…..they all played in Leach's system and put up insane numbers….but weren't good pro prospects.

Nope. He's a system QB. All Mike Leach QB's put up gaudy numbers. Good college #'s but there's a reason he's not a high prospect for this coming draft.
