How some thought Lael was good at guard is just so funny

They remember he pancaked some guys so they think that means he was a natural guard.

Sure, that's part of it. But the other part is that it's quite possible they are playing him out of position. I know that's hard for people to understand but yes, this staff, could be making a mistake. Look at Byron Jones. For a few years, this coaching staff tried to force him into the FS role, and he was an average safety. They move him to CB and he was one of the best CBs in football.

I am not one to claim he can't play OG, I think he can. But I do wonder if he'd be better off at RT (and frankly, Collins might be better at LG).

He’s going to take Collins place next year.

I’m with you. The picture on the boat made him look a bit top heavy. That one dispels it pretty comprehensively.

Different build but he looks similar in size to Zak Martin and every bit a guard now.
