I haven’t re-watched the full game but I saw a lot to like with Williams in game 2.

The first thing we must be mindful of is that Connor’s strength is his mobility and athleticism. He can get around really well on pull-blocks, screens and such. He can get to the second level.

The concern of course is that he’s a tad under-sized and might get over-powered by an elite power nose-tackle type. We saw that happen a bit in Carolina.

In game two Williams gave up no sacks and only modest pocket collapse on a few plays. And he had some nice blocks in the run game.

Want to see an outstanding block, punctuated by a PANCACKE? Check out the clip on this page. It opened up Zeke for an 18 yard run.

So he doesn’t need to get stronger? I’m happy with Conner good pick

I don't believe you... he has already received the Zone kiss of death, and they are always right:laugh:

Yes. There were fans here wanting a positional change or to see him benched. After one game! After his very first game against one of the league's best!

I try to keep a good humor about some of the dumb stuff people post here. I try.

Williams has had to go up against some tough players from preseason to his start in the NFL. I don't expect it to be that easy for him against the Seahawks either.

Williams is going to have an up and down season - I expect him to look like a completely different player next year after adding on some weight and gaining experience.

did he get a lot of snacks or the other dl?

He played a decent game
I expect him to play better the more he plays
I also expect his best football is in the years to come as he developed more physically

I'd put the first thing as "Williams is a rookie in the nfl playing a new position".

Awesome to see the pancake. I love yummy pancakes. Dude has no choice but to get better on the field. I haven't been too impressed with his pass pro (pocket collapse) but I'm definitely rooting for him. We need him to be successful.

I cant stand the sound of Collinsworth's voice but I find it very impressive how he focuses on the o-line and can watch so many parts of the field at the same time. The fact that in Connors 2nd game, Collinsworth was mentioning how he improved was something that impressed me and I found valuable because I tend to follow the ball when I watch live games.

While people may dislike Collinsworth, there was a short of him once on HBO, I believe, that showed how much film he studies. He seems to be a workaholic. It is pretty impressive and why I can overlook his broadcasting flaws.

Skip don’t like him yet..

Skip Bayless? here's what folks think of good ole skippy

Once, BarkelyBasketball ‘Hall of Fame’ CBarkley told Washington post that

“If I could get Skip Bayless in a room, you’d need DNA to find out who it was.” Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, during an appearance on “First Take,” called him an “ignorant, pompous, egotistical cretin.” - Washington Post

And neither are intelligent enough to know Skip Bayless is an actor....

So much for that college degree Sherman likes to talk about.
