Connor Williams weight gain

This was always expected to happen and people were hilariously worried about his weight. Not everyone comes in like Martin - he needed another offseason to get into NFL shape. It's not unexpected or unheard of and I expect him to look far more like a guard in 2019.

He may have put on some mass but he didn't add 10 lbs of pure muscle since January.
He had to be working on it longer than that. As young as he is and having the best trainers he could do a pound or 2 a month.

Literally was going to ask about him today. Good stuff. Think the kid has a bright future

Well not only that. He's been a weight room junkie before he ever came here.

Usually the guys that just explode in size in the weight room are the guys who never focused on it before.

So for a guy like him who has been in the weight room like he has before coming to Dallas and adding 10 lbs of pure muscle since January seems unlikely unless he took some special vitamins.

He may be up 10 lbs but it being pure muscle is probably just one of those things people say as if it were true. 3 lbs of pure muscle would be quite an accomplishment in this time frame.

Williams wasn't far off last year. He needs to play with great technique and he usually does. However, rookie OL generally struggle a bit. We got really spoiled seeing Martin and Fred come in and not have any issues.

Most people know this however why wait till his 2nd season ? Should have done this last offseason.
