Connor Williams

Oline looked good it all starts there . When they play like that everyones job is made easier

He played good... Almost missed a blitz on the big play to Gallup on the sideline.

I went back and watched the first half again last night, focusing a lot on the line and that and one run block were the only real struggles I saw him have. On the blitz, he was helping with another block, saw the blitzer and got just enough of him to slow him down as Dak got the pass off. He almost hooked him, which would have been a terrible penalty there. On the run block, he was supposed to cut off Ogletree on the second level but couldn't get across him. Ogletree then made the tackle on Pollard for a short gain. If Williams had been able to cut him off, it looked like that could have turned into a big run. Tough assignment though.

Impossible. I keep hearing that he's just holding down the G position until a real guard like McGovern can get in there. He's also puny and weak.

He looks good.
As I mentioned a couple of months ago this line could end up being, wait for it, the best ever! Just sayin...the have a chance, they're that good.

He whiffed pretty bad a couple of times, but his performance was light years better than the beginning of last season. I'm pretty sure I saw him get at least one pancake too. I think the runs he whiffed on was more of a timing issue too, not completely on him.

let's not get ahead of ourselves. Our OL played pretty dam good against guys who shouldn't be starting. I'm glad we got this weak game in so our guys can knock off some rust before we face a real team.

too early but we will see, and with lael now re-signed, we have to make the Conner W at LG happen - unless tyron smith has career threatening issues that forces a retirement, and
connor could be settled at LT, with the other Conner coming in at LG.

once Connor W. has to face Fletcher Cox, Sheldon rankins, mke mcdaniels and Donald again this year, we'll have a better clue of how far he has really come into his own.

Our offensive line played well in the passing game.

I'm not giving a ton of credit for any of them in run blocking. Zeke and Pollard both had a tough day running the ball. Especially Pollard.

The quick passes and play action certainly helped keep some pressure off of Dak.

Where/how did you rewatch the game?

The Teflon Con(nor) did okay. I was watching. On the 2nd pass of the game he was getting pushed back into Dak but the release was early so it didn't affect things. He had another allowed pressure as well but again a quick release helped things out. Good to not hear his name in the penalty logs but I do still see him getting pushed around out there occasionally. I'll keep watching but to me he's still the weak link that I'd attack if I were a defense.

He was good against Donald in the playoff game.

Donald had zero sacks in that game after having 20.5 in the regular season. Donald played the majority of his snaps lined up against Connor Williams.

Donald had zero QB hits in that game. He averages just 1 game with zero QBs hits over the past 3 seasons. He got QB hits in all of the other playoff games.

Connor Williams was good last year against smallish but quick DTs with Donald being the ultimate smallish but uber quick DT.

The Giants are now a 3-4 defense. Their 3 starters on DL:
318 pounds
342 pounds
311 pounds

The Skins will be without Jonathan Allen. He was a challenge for the Cowboys last season. They do have some big DL in their 3-4 defense.
