Sounds like justice is served. As a doctor, you can't ***** yourself out to the highest bidder, do what they want and then try to wash your hands of it when things go horribly wrong.

Everyone involved in this is guilty save his own children... and maybe Janet...

From Joe all the way down, this is a VERY sordid bunch of characters that used and abused MJ to their own means. He, on the other hand was a strange cat with serious allegations against him over the years...

Talented family? Yes... but there really is no sympathetic characters involved in this one...

Not absolving the doctor and his participation... But don't you think that if it weren't this doctor then it would be another one?

I just get the feeling that MJ was a "car wreck" and something bad was going to happen regardless.

Yep, many of these doctors are waiting in line for meal-tickets like Jackson. Any celebrity with a "personal physician" is likely employing nothing more than a personal prescription drug dealer...

MJ was going down a destructive path for many many years. Did this doctor's actions cause Michael to die even more prematurely than he would normally have died? Obviously twelve people thought so. Just my opinion but we are overlooking a bigger issue of Michael's addictions and bad habits and how it appears no one lifted a finger to help him for a long time. That is on his family and friends and even Michael himself for not being a more responsible parent.

The doctor made a long standing decision to go against what his profession is sworn to. Guilty on manslaughter sounds right to me.

I don't think I am a bad person for saying...I really don't care if the guy was guilty or not. MJ was going to kill himself one way or another and if not from this doctor, it would have been another.

Oh well. Meh

I had to read the thread to even know who he is. I still have no idea what he is guilty of though.

yeah, if it wasn't this guy, it would've been another, but that doesn't make it okay. I don't think he should do major time (I heard he likely won't) but he should lose his medical liscence.

My daughter graduated earlier this year. I hope she doesn't sell her soul for money like this guy did. I think she's better than that.

I'd think you want to keep the guy alive

WHAT WASTE OF TAX PAYERS MONEY

never should have even been in court in the first place

the king of pop yea right

I swear by Apollo the Physician and Asclepius and Hygieia and Panaceia and all the gods, and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will fulfill according to my ability and judgment this oath and this covenant:
To hold him who has taught me this art as equal to my parents and to live my life in partnership with him, and if he is in need of money to give him a share of mine, and to regard his offspring as equal to my brothers in male lineage and to teach them this art – if they desire to learn it – without fee and covenant; to give a share of precepts and oral instruction and all the other learning to my sons and to the sons of him who has instructed me and to pupils who have signed the covenant and have taken the oath according to medical law, but to no one else.

I will apply dietic measures for the benefit of the sick according to my ability and judgment; I will keep them from harm and injustice.

I will neither give a deadly drug to anybody if asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect. In purity and holiness I will guard my life and my art.

I will not use the knife, not even on sufferers from stone, but will withdraw in favor of such men as are engaged in this work.

Whatever houses I may visit, I will come for the benefit of the sick, remaining free of all intentional injustice, of all mischief and in particular of sexual relations with both female and male persons, be they free or slaves.

What I may see or hear in the course of treatment or even outside of the treatment in regard to the life of men, which on no account one must spread abroad, I will keep myself holding such things shameful to be spoken about.

If I fulfill this oath and do not violate it, may it be granted to me to enjoy life and art, being honoured with fame among all men for all time to come; if I transgress it and swear falsely, may the opposite of all this be my lot.

He helped kill a child molester. Give the guy a medal, not a prison sentence.

Justice was served.

Anyone who knows anything about Propofol...or Diprivan as we call it...and has seen it used in a Hospital setting like I do all the time just laughed at someone who isn't even an Anesthesiologist using it outside of an Hospital setting...it was just simply preposterous.
