Consider trading for Sheard; releasing Spencer?

What do people think about trading for Jabaal Sheard? Cleveland signed Kruger and drafted Mingo. They certainly don't need him.

If the Cowboys traded a pick for him, they could release Spencer. The $10M in freed up cap space could pay for OT Clabo/Winston, RB Benson, and possibly another WR or S.

The 10 million is guaranteed to Spencer. Only way to free up that money is to sign him to a long term deal.

The real strategy would be to sign him to a sensible medium term contract, which would open us up for a couple more moves this year such as getting Winston and Moore.
