Jerry fires Stewart because he know something much bigger is brewing?? i.e. Shanahan coming here, making Wade step down to be DC? Or the reverse?? Is it possible for Jerry to somehow convince Shanahan to come here as Asst HC and OC for 1 year? That way he saves face with Wade. 5 million says he would do it!

Wade is a lame duck, but he cant be that much of a lame to let Shanahan knock him out again and stay as DC.

He's got too much stomach to be that gutless.

That's a very real possibility with Jerry Jones. Would not hurt my feelings. In my opinion, Mike Shanahan could be everything Tony Romo needs to become a great QB.

Tony is a good QB, but there is a big gap between being good and being great.

I don't know why it would be a conspiracy, it should be a no brainer to fire Wade and upgrade to a better coach. It would be like going from Hogeboom to Aikman. Freakin no-brainer central.

I don't think Shanny or Wade would have it. Also keep in mind that we don't have an O-line that even resembles what Shannahan employs in his scheme. I think this is about as far fetched asit can get. I could be wrong, but it logically makes no sense.

I dunno, Wade ain't the sharpest tool in the shed either. :laugh1:

I don't want anymore freakin' re-hashed coaches!!!

Yeah, but where would Wade go?? He's not going to get another HC gig any time soon. So at best it would be DC here or somewhere else.

I dunno. The O-line may not resemble what Mike had back with the Broncos. But the QB may intrigue him a lot more than the offensive line.

Woops! I just pulled a Wade. Doh!

He could adapt to our O line power game and just work on the passing game primarily

And I don't want the lingering effects of a hangover after one too many Captain-n-Cokes, but it is what it is. lol

My vote is here. We should search for the next young wiz.

ummmm, yeah......that's what Garrett was supposed to be. Young doen't mean good necessarily and Shanahan is not that old....

We had one. He'll be the new HC for the Rams tomorrow.

As far as Shanahan coming in, can he do a worse job than Wade? Seriously. Think about it long and hard before answering. The guy has a better than average offense every year. In the 10 years he was with the Mules, his defense was in the top 15 7-8 times and in the top 10 five times.

A twist could be Gruden coming here. Maybe even Frazier. Just thinking out loud. But what about Spagnuolo? That would be awesome when his defense gets a hold of the Giants and destroys them.

Spagnuolo most likely is Pioli's guy in KC.

I agree, but I was just thinking it would be awesome if the Boys' rise to stardom again could be brought by a divisional foes' DC.

Don't get me wrong, I'd have to buy a pair of Depends if we brought in Spagnuolo. I'd be happy. But that's not gonna happen.

On a side note, this D isn't built for Spag's style. That would probably factor into it, too.
