Kind of tongue-in-cheek here, but this Cowboy's resurgence has GOT to be a very big blessing for Roger Goodell.

With all the off-the-field nonsense going on tis year landing Goodell in the hot seat, what better way to alleviate some of that than by making the on-the-field stories take over the headlines instead.

The NFL is always better off with the Cowboys doing good. That will dominate the story lines, maybe driving Peterson or Rice story lines down. That could only be beneficial to Goodell. So if the NFL did indeed "fix" things at times, they would probably fix things now to take pressure off Goodell/NFL.

Do I really think they did - not at all. I think the Cowboys are deserving the credit themselves for their stellar record/play thus far. Just thought I'd throw out this thought for the conspiracy theorists out there who usually think the NFL/refs are out to get the Boys most years.

The refs didn't make an amazing tiptoe 23-yard reception catch just perfectly barely in bounds to pick up the first down.

The refs didn't stop Seattle on 4th-and-6.

The refs didn't intercept a Russell Wilson pass with less than a minute remaining to seal the deal.

The refs didn't convert 10/17 third downs against one of the toughest defenses in the league.

The refs didn't gain 162 rushing yards on 37 carries.

The refs didn't crush the Seahawks in time of possession, 37:39 of possession to 22:21.

The refs didn't run 70 plays on offense to just 48 offensive plays for the Seahawks.

The refs didn't gain 23 first downs to just 9 for the Seahawks.
