The team never recovered from the fiasco that was the 4th quarter vs. the Ravens. I think we could all see the "here we go again" attitude by the middle of the second quarter.

Everyone is blaming Wade, T.O., Romo, O-Line, Defense, insert name here...

I don't start many new threads (and don't post a lot either:rolleyes:) but I am just as p.o.'d about the last two games as any other Cowboys Fan. I am very upbeat about next season though. With a few tweaks to our philosophies and lineups, we could be a juggernaut.

1. OFFENSE Garrett/Romo need to focus on moving the chains instead of attempting to prove that we can score at will from any spot on the field. I think that the fans and media put a lot of pressure on him to put up a ton of points in every game and his reaction is to go for the big one at least once on every set of downs.

2. DEFENSE Tackling skills need to be emphasized in training camp and week-to-week during the season. If that means bringing in new position coaches and/or benching players... so be it.

3. Special Teams Coverage units are terrible. This is where roster philosophies need to be re-evaluated. Draft/sign special teams specialists rather than keeping a bunch of developmental guys on the roster. In the era of free-agency, it makes no sense to tie up roster spots for 2 or 3 years with guys that can't contribute on ST's and will be FA's by the time they are ready to contribute (if ever).

4. Roster Safety, Backup QB, Guard, ILB, NT. That's a lot of positions to address, but in reality we only need true starters at Safety and maybe ILB, the rest are just depth... the lack of which really screwed us up this season.

Go Cowboys :star:
