Cookies and Milk

im not a fan of milk.......really only have it with cereal.

i like so many types of cookies....most of the time my cookies have to be soft and chewy. i dont like crunchy choco chip, oatmeal, or white choco macademia.

i like most girl scout cookies, with samoas, thin mints, and trafoils being my favorite.

i dont like anything with raisins. i dont like peanut butter (except Nutter Butter).

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip - waaaayyyy better that raisens. Milk not necessary.

My wife makes chocolate chip cookies from scratch. They are far and away the best ones I've ever tasted. So I would say it's between those and Peanut Butter cookies. I love the hell out of those too! :laugh2:

Milk with cookies is always good!

FYI,

People who are lactose intolerant can actually consume milk products like cheese, yogurt and sour-cream in moderation. They tend to be low in lactose (milk sugar) as long as they are 'cultured' and/or 'natural'. The live bacteria breaks down the lactose during the fermentation process thus reducing the amount of milk sugar. In evolutionary terms they are cultural solutions/adaptations to the inability of most populations to produce the enzyme lactase after a certain age. Lactase is the enzyme that helps you convert lactose into simple sugars in your body.

This has been today's unsolicited and perhaps useless information.

...I fit in that category. For me the ads such as "Got milk" means I also "Got gas!"

There not too many cookies I would turn my nose up to. Snickerdoodles and chocolate chip are faves, but I really don't like "bits" other than choc chips in the cookies.

I stay away from baking for fear I would end up being bigger than a house.

My favorite by far is homemade Chocolate Chip with Walnuts as someone earlier suggested.

I like mine however slightly OVER-cooked. Soft cookies once at room temperature are seriously over-rated. That is fake hot and gooey. The real thing is fine but they should firm up when they cool. Store bought soft is not for me.

On the store-bought front my top 2 are traditional Oreos (not double, not mint) and Pecan Shortbread.

Subway's Double Choclate Chip is also great.

Milk? Not a requirement at all.

Consuming dairy products in moderation is NOT something I do. :laugh2:

Chocolate chip, warm from the oven. Tall cold glass of milk to wash it down.

If you must add nuts, pecans or walnuts you personal preference.

I noticed you said that you eat cheese on everything earlier. Thats why I included the 'perhaps useless information' at the bottom of my post.

To me, it's not about intolerant. Whole milk might as well be called whole mucus.

With cookies, I'll drink almost anything with it except milk.

I love milk but there is no way I can drink whole milk. One percent all the way.
