Why?Would have kept him over Mingo and Tolbert.![]()
Yes, that's a good deal.Contract is enough that it could maybe trigger another comp pick, right?
lol are you serious? He’s much better that’s why. Why?
According to the formulas I have seen, the Cowboys are getting comp picks for Chauncey Golston and Jourdan Lewis. They aren't getting a comp pick for DeMarcus Lawrence due to the value of the Dante Fowler signing.Contract is enough that it could maybe trigger another comp pick, right?
I concur, the only players they will sign between now and the draft are players who where cut like CB Kendall Fuller or DE Za'Darius Smith. Cut players don't count against the comp pick formula, it doesn't matter how much they make.According to the formulas I have seen, the Cowboys are getting comp picks for Chauncey Golston and Jourdan Lewis. So it all depends on what Cooks' deal is for compared to what Dallas gave guys like Parris Campbell, Miles Sanders, etc.. Right now the Cowboys lose a comp pick for any player they sign for over $3.5 million per season. If Cooks is getting more from the Saints than Dallas gave Campbell, for instance, it could lead to a 6th or 7th round comp pick.
That all ends after the draft, when teams can sign anybody and the comp pick formula goes out the window. That's probably why we won't see Dallas sign anyone else until then.
small correction. They are getting a comp for Lewis and Lawrence.According to the formulas I have seen, the Cowboys are getting comp picks for Chauncey Golston and Jourdan Lewis. They aren't getting a comp pick for DeMarcus Lawrence due to the value of the Dante Fowler signing.

They are going to add a number 2 receiver and Cooks doesn't fit and they will get a comp pick for him. The other guys are under contract.lol are you serious? He’s much better that’s why.

I don't think he does. He's not the same player he was when he was last in New Orleans.Easily gets 1k
