Cooks Signs With Saints

If we can’t sign a good receiver, and a good guy, for 6 million a year that tells you all you need to know
I'm not sure what you mean, but the Cowboys will be adding a number 2 receiver that could be Tet McMillan, or Emeka Egbuka, or Golden, or Courtland Sutton in trade.

In my view, Tolbert was better than Cooks last year, all things being equal. Tolbert has gotten better bit by bit each year. That's the truth. We would all love him to be all world but he may never. Then again, some guys are late bloomers. How good has the coaching, teaching been in Dallas last few years? Was there tone deafness, unwillingness by the HC to give the rookies more reps? Now watch Tolbert go out in camp and be great. Jimmy Smith is my Comp for him. Nobody gave that kid a chance to be a good NFL player.Jimmy Johnson cut him or traded him. Don't recall which. They gave up on him due to inconsistent play and injury. Let's give Tolbert this year to see what he does, regardless of who we draft. Cooks might be ok in spot duty down in Orleans but I think he's just about washed. Of course, the minute he got cut or not brought back, he runs his mouth like a little immature brat that didn't get his piece of candy. It opened my eyes to see what he's been. All we heard was how he and DFlaw were great leaders on and off the field. Apparently that was not true. Sunlight is a great disinfectant.

According to the formulas I have seen, the Cowboys are getting comp picks for Chauncey Golston and Jourdan Lewis. They aren't getting a comp pick for DeMarcus Lawrence due to the value of the Dante Fowler signing.

So it all depends on what Cooks' deal is for compared to what Dallas gave guys like Parris Campbell, Miles Sanders, etc.. Right now the Cowboys lose a comp pick for any player they sign for over $3.5 million per season. If Cooks is getting more from the Saints than Dallas gave Campbell, for instance, it could lead to a 6th or 7th round comp pick.

That all ends after the draft, when teams can sign anybody and the comp pick formula goes out the window. That's probably why we won't see Dallas sign anyone else until then.
OTC doesn't have all the details of contracts yet so they are continually changing things. If you check again they have the Cowboys getting two 5ths for Tank & Lewis. Fowler cancels out Golston and they still don't have Fowler's numbers right. They have 8 million listed when it's six million with 2 million in incentives and incentives aren't being counted.

Cooks was gone the moment he called out the Cowboys- specifically the Jones Boys- for not doing enough to help Dak like other teams help their QBs.

And Cooks has been to Super Bowls for two different teams (Patriots and Rams) so he knows of what he speaks.
Lol he was gone way before that

Lol,
Cooks was always gone because it was obvious it was time to move on!
He’s incapable of playing outside at this stage and this team likes to play Lamb in the slot!

What are you willing to wager that they don’t sniff any of those guys? They will draft a WR round 3, and roll into the season with Ceedee, Turpin, Flournoy, Mingo, and Cropper!!
You’re delusional!!!
