If we only counted Murray's runs on first down and none of his 2nd or 3rd down runs, he would still be leading the NFL in rushing.

Also, the Cowboys have 475 yards rushing on first down this year.

I never thought I'd see Dallas running this way again. I couldn't be more happy to be wrong.

The Cowboys have been especially good running on first down. Murray has gained 418 yards in 1st-and-10 situations. The next closest player, Alfred Morris, has 191. If Murray ran the ball only on first down, he'd still be the leading rusher in the league. As a team, the Cowboys rank first in the league with 475 yards in 1st-and-10 situations. That’s 87 more yards than the next closest team, the Saints.
