If anyone is like me, in that you like to see then and now photos of historical people and places, then you'll probably like this website.

It's all about Easy Company, 506th PIR (Band of Brothers) during WWII.

Lot's of then and now photos! It's all in Spanish though, but the photo's are in English. :D

Band of Brothers was a good show. Funny how the lead character was played by a Brit.

That's not really funny, they're actors. It's like saying that it's funny that Marie Antoinette was played by an American.

or that some guy played a Canadian mountie in that one Canadian movie

and he wasn't even Canadian

actually it says more about the dearth of good North American actors, particularly on the male side.

what's great about that site...

no Canadians
Bit disrespectful to the very significant Canadian contribution to the war effort, no?

It doesn't matter what Marie Antoinette was. She pretty much called Benjamin Franklin a dirty little American, so she was beheaded for it. :p:

Dirty French ....and French Canadians ;)

Well we only had one of the five beaches so according to some that is not much of a sacrifice. We only liberated Holland, so that was nothing.

I'm sure Derek appreciates it.

...bet that goes over a bunch of peoples heads. Damn outsiders. :banghead:

Holland is a pretty small country. Considering that Canada had - as I recall- only about 5 divisions in Europe- that would been about all they COULD liberate.
