He’s a real one. That catch he made one handed. Reminded me so much of a TO catch vs the giants. I was smiling for sure after that play.

how about b2b weeks him dropping the easy catches? first downs they were important, he heard footsteps and pulls himself out of a last game drive when they are trying to win?

great catch but dude is so frustrating making 20mil and not willing to go all out for 60mins.. Gallup and Lamb have the passion and drive, they will bleed to stay on the field..Gallup reminds me of a young Dez wants to own the ball..

Gallup is good, but he is no Dez... Cooper did well Sunday.

He’s frustrating to watch because he doesn’t play all out for 60min not Dez and definitely not a TO

he looks exactly like a young dez similar body, they way they contest balls, the passion, yes he for sure is but hey you are entitled to your opinion..i say that his comp IMHO

My assessment on Cooper stems on the following:

  • 16 catches on 23 targets this year, that's 70 percent. The previous 1.5 yrs in Dallas he was at 68 percent. Dez's percentage his 2 last years was significantly lower(both years 52%). That's a big difference for your WR1. Also consider Cooper's catch percentage is higher than Dak's overall completion percentage since arriving in Dallas. That's impressive for your WR1.
  • I think his value on the WR corps is understated. Cooper is a route technician. And from what I have seen and heard, he has a good rapport with Prescott and the other receivers. I think his presence will help the young receivers develop into better, complete, versatile receivers. I think we saw Gallup benefit last year, and although I think Lamb has shown himself to have route technician qualities as well, he will benefit as well.
  • Speaking of the young receivers, it does seem that Gallup and Lamb have a spark and a hunger. Noah Brown too(just haven't played much). Hopefully its contagious and Cooper catches some of that.
I am only looking at the now and short term future and not when his contract is up in Dallas.
