I'm pretty bored at work so I just have to ask.

Why is it Tirico calls Copper "Cooper" when with Dallas, but miraculously learned the pronunciation last night for NO when Copper makes a tackle.

That bothered me.

He probably got ribbed by his co-host and production team for screwing up the name during the Dallas game.

I am sure that there was no evil plan to belittle a little known Dallas Cowboys player during the Cowboys game...unless it was by Joe :p:

I wouldn't expect anyone to mess up a name on purpose, but my how fast the correction came. Cooper Cooper Cooper, oh Copper makes a simple ST tackle.

Theesman: The name is "COPPER" not "COOPER". Geez, You probably don't even know that Lance Alworth won 9 straight of them French bike races...

Tirico: I'll make note of that Norman...

You would have preferred he stupidly kept mispronouncing his name forever? Why?

My best guess (since he has not been the only announcer over the years that Copper was here to make this mistake) is that the Saints actually spelled the name correctly on their media guide/roster, while the Cowboys had the name as Cooper. Again only guessing.

its that little patch of barely noticeable hair on Tirico's head that causes him to mispronounce names:D

Guess again. The Cowboys' PR Dept. is one of the league's best.

when Copper came out in the draft, the Sporting News Draft Guide spelled his last name "Cooper"

FYI :)
