LOL...this is getting out of hand. Seriously, Coop has done a great job and at a min, bought himself a backup job in the league for many years.

Who is your MVP through four weeks?

Orr: Shohei Oht— just kidding. Wrong post. For me, it’s Lamar Jackson. No one is doing more for their team. If Jackson was somehow Justin Tucker’s emergency backup, I’d hand him the trophy right now. I also have to give a nod to Cooper Rush, who has kept a good Cowboys team in playoff contention during Dak Prescott’s absence with a thumb injury.

Breer: I’m gonna agree with Conor. Jackson’s taken his game to the next level, with an enhanced ability to manipulate defenses from the pocket, making it even more difficult to defend him. And my runner-up right now would be Patrick Mahomes, just because I think we’ve normalized his greatness, and his greatness should still be appreciated (especially now, with his ability to navigate the exit of Tyreek Hill from the Chiefs’ offense).

Patrick Mahomes, just because I think we’ve normalized his greatness,

This is an absolute fact. When you set the bar so high people after a while they begin to take that level for granted.

I haven't watched more than a few minutes of Baltimore so I can't comment on Lamar but he is getting rave reviews so I assume it's justified.

I think what everyone who gives a nod to Rush is saying is that in no way did anyone, Cowboys fans included, ever seeing Rush helping to guide this team to a 3-0 record upon Dak's injury. There is nothing wrong with that but is Rush a league MVP candidate, absolutely not. You can argue that he isn't the MVP for the Cowboys given the Dallas defensive performance but again, nobody saw Rush having an impact such as he has had so far.

I mean maybe the cowboys MVP through 4 weeks, I think that is a legitimate debate. The thought of league mvp is laughable though.

For team MVP, you have to say yes...Cooper it is. Dallas would be 0-4 as we speak. For league MVP, he may not be but just being in the conversation is a WIN for Cooper. Who would have thought that before the season started.? Unfortunately, he won't get the opportunity to finish out the season, so he will not be in the running at the end. But at least we have seen his potential.

The idiot Brandt on GMFB said today, if Barkley gets 140 yards against GB Sunday, and NYG beats GB. Then he should be in the top running for MVP.

I love that Rush is even mentioned in the conversation. He has come in, avoided big mistakes and has stepped up in key situations to help this team win.

Can't just chose one. There's a handful of players who are playing at an elite level. That said, Mike McCarthy has earned MVP thus far.

Of course not.

I just don't see why people get triggered anytime he gets a little respect thrown his way.
You keep saying stuff like that. Do you have any evidence of anyone being “triggered” or are you just making up **** like normal?

I think everyone is happy we’re winning and you’re reaching for this weird angle for some odd reason.

But you can't get over making everything about Dak, so instead of saying, no he doesn't, you have to compare it with Dak.

24 / 7

On a Cowboys talk forum of course Dak will be mentioned when the back-up QB is playing well.
