Of course we need better TE’s but so do many teams and they don’t just give them away.
Who are you signing at TE?

I believe the purpose of improving the WRs is to get the defense to need to account for playing the short game.

We have short route wrs. Cooper is an effective route runner at all 3 levels and has elite speed that we do not have right now.

agree the price is high but disagree what we need. Dallas went into the season thinking they did not need a #1 outside WR they were wrong. If Dallas can't get teams to back off the line then they will struggle. Cooper is a playmaker and a guy who is very capable of beating the double team and beating you deep.

This, how many number one can you put into that OL. Coaching has to come into play sometimes. As the great Tuna said, you can't have steak at every position. That is were coaching comes into play.

Wrong, he is just what we need. Someone to stretch the field that is a legitimate threat. Oh, Austin can get down field, Gallup showing he can too. But Cooper brings a complete different element to the entire offense and playbook.

The last think we need is another short route plays. Get them to pay attention to Cooper, it opens up other players, the run game, and the protection takes care of itself. As they will have to remove a player from the box.
It will be up to Dak to complete those passes, and burn them a few times to get them to do so.

Which is also on the coaches to design these plays to help.

I would rather we save the number 1 for OL. We seem to get that pick right when used for OL. Right now we need protection. Left side of our OL is weak. Not gonna get the deep routes without protection. Therefore, won’t be able to profit from Cooper if we don’t have time to throw to him.
