Cooper Rush farewell to Cowboy fans

No more Rush hour in Dallas. While I wasn't a huge fan it's still a little sad to see him go. I wish him well except for when he plays Dallas.
From Jackson to Rush, in case of injury....way different skill set, nit a good signing for the Ravens....nothing against Rush....I appreciate what he did, and hope he does well....just talking a little football

Imagine a former player of ours going out in class. Guess we can't keep the good ones, right? Call him what you want as a QB, but he has always put the team first and took advantage of any playing time he had.

ps. As I type this I am watching Pawn Stars where Corey just wrecked a guy coming in saying he's a Dallas Cowboys fan LOL
Corey was probably high again....

He’s gone because Jerry didn’t want to pay him.

I’ve come to trust Baltimore’s front office to make the correct decision on most pathways. They have built a consistent winning franchise spanning back to 2000. They have an excellent run game and some very good receiving options. I imagine they can make it work with a ground and pound play action approach. Michael Vick is the only QB that had Lamar’s physical talent. They just picked a guy that can move the chains, and keep the boat afloat if Lamar misses a little time.

Feels good to talk football....

He did his job in Dallas but glad to see him move on. He shouldn’t be part of the future with his limitations and a ceiling reached. Good luck out there Coop

No longer a Dallas Cowboy......dead to me.

Just kidding!

It made me think back to the days of no free agency. A player went to another team, only if he was traded or waived. It was quite rare.

The 1975 NFC champion Cowboys had one player on their roster that had ever played for another team.

There were a few drafted by a different teams but it wasn't unusual to trade or cut rookies after a training camp before the regular season.

Tom Landry didn't care where you were drafted or even if you were drafted. The best player stayed, the others packed their bags,

Sometimes, another team would pick them up and they would stick around long enough to exact revenge on the team that dumped them.

Anyway, I hate losing a player that has been part of the team for seven seasons. That is just as true for the non-stars, the guys who worked so hard to do their parts when called upon.

Cooper Rush did his part when called upon.

Tough finding good starting QBs let alone good backup QBs. Rush is one of the best in the league and it's really no surprise a team like the Ravens sees that.

Sad to see him go he was a guy who did things the right way.

He was a very smart player understood his physical limitations and knew how to play within them and get the job done.

He always represented the Dallas Cowboys in a good way with class.
Good luck Cooper Rush glad you will have a chance to win a Super bowl before your career is over.

John Kitna would like a word with you
Yeah that and in no way is Cooper Rush to be mentioned in the same breath as Danny White. The guy took us to 3 NFC chip games. All those teams had aging players on them when he did it. Folks gotta stop pretending that Rush was anything more than a stop gap QB that was ok for small stretches of games. Liked the guy, class act, but on the field he was not even close to peak Jon Kitna. Heck, he was more like a substandard Jason Garrett. Class act, much respect for him. Seems like he gets it. He cares about the fans. Wish we had more players like him. But on the field, nothing to be celebrated. Let's just stop it. Danny is owed an apology lol.

Everything you could ask of a #2.
Always ready, great attitude, at times actually elevated the offense.
