It's like they don't even watch games. We lost arguably the best QB we have from a subpar bunch.

Will Grier is on the roster and he is a capable backup quarterback .Dallas may draft one at some point,I have confidence in Will Grier , he has a better arm than Rush .Grier can also scramble he can pick up first downs with his legs,Rush did a good job when called upon but he couldn,t avoid pressure .Grier is better than Rush in my opinion.

Usually you want a backup QB that, while not as good as your starter, can allow you to keep running the same offense with little adjustments.

Can you imagine a more polar opposite to Lamar Jackson than Cooper Rush?

My first thought. I'd think Lance would have more of a chance to be Jackson's backup

I agree I watched Will Grier a lot when he played for West Virginia ,he has some duel threat in his game.He has a much better arm than Rush too.

He has a ceiling. We are talking about a backup and to be honest with you all these guys suck in this draft I’d hate to draft someone and be tied to them I’d rather do it next year.

Personally I don't have a problem moving on from Cooper Rush. He had really good moments as a backup QB. But face it, he was never going to be a threat to Dak Prescott. Rush's games against the Eagles showed me that! I want a young QB that's going to put some pressure on Dak. Not saying Trey Lance is or was that. But suppose lance is done in Dallas. For the money spent on either Rush or Lance, there seem to be plenty of FA QBs available that can had for the money spent on backup QBs last season.
