I mean they are in the Manning sweepstakes year. The way they went about FA this probably is the plan. Dak was healthy and 3-5 so they really don't even need him to get hurt. Schedule is looking tough so I expect at some point Dak will do something to jump ship.

Am I crazy to suggest Lance looked good in his one start? Rush is the most untalented QB in recent years. He is the definition of a bus driver.

actually a good bus driver is about the best you can do with a Backup QB
someone that can keep you competitive for five games or so.

Cooper did that. Lance did not. Lance needs a LOT of work before anyone should expect him to keep things going for multiple games.

Glad to see him go get some coins comparable to a backup QB with 5-10 years experience on an NFL roster. He did good. $4.2M guaranteed. He's able to sit in the same room with Tyrod Taylor, Mason Rudolph, Josh Dobbs, Carson Wentz, Jameis Winston, Andy Dalton, Drew Lock, Gardner Minshew II, and Taylor Heinicke with his chest out too and ward off the young cats like Jarrett Stidham, Mac Jones, Malik Willis and Sam Howell. He done good......Cooper owns your beliefs, and that's ok.
