Cooper Rush

Think you mean underthrow. He doesn't have the arm strength for an overthrow. I was disappointed only with his arm strength last night. Felt he read the field well and knew where to go with the ball. Maybe his arm is tired.

White is another story. He had zip on his passes, but probably thought he was back in college again. Our 3rd string oline just plain sucked.
You are right it was an underthrow. None the less 15 for 23 and for 145 yds, with no int isn't a bad game.

I know its pre season and that was 1 beautiful throw by Dak to Gallup butI also saw Dak panic right before he was sacked. I wouldnt be beating my chest about Daks performance. Running for the first down in a pre season game and rolling right to complete a couple short passes. That is something to build on but I want to see him progress more past the short passes and runs.

It’s the first pre season game with some new toys. It’s a work in progress, it’ll get better. And on the sack I think Dak was surprised to see the pocket collapse that quickly and he was merely looking for an escape route.

Yea I wasn’t pleased with this. It’s just Dak’s competitive nature getting the best of him.

I think he was in survival mode right then. If I recall correctly, he had been sacked right before that and got twisted around bad. I think he felt the pressure and said I gotta go. I think he would have slid if anyone had truly gotten close to him. No one closed hard and he kept truckin.

Poor PappyDog, you've got it all wrong. It is Dak who has completed 72% of all of his passes this training camp, not your new boy Cooper.
I posted earlier, Prescott could lead the team to a Super Bowl there would still be haters. GET USE TO IT DAK PRESCOTT IS THE QB OF THE DALLAS COWBOYS!

it's a pre season game.. nothing to see. Like that is going to be the niners defense when the season start..... children mentality. after the game did you put your dak jersey on and ride your bike around the neighborhood screaming and beating your chest.. smh..

Hey, so nice to hear from you Pdoggy! What did you think about that noodle-armed Dak? Still want to start your boy Orange Crush over him? lol

Personally I'd start Rush over Dak in a heartbeat as you well know i consider Dak a bench player at best. Now if you think that 1 TD pass where the CB played the blind butterfly confirms Dak as a franchise QB then maybe you should follow baseball......

There is no hope for you.

It isn’t a bad stat line. If he had to play as the back up QB, the team isn’t winning many games. It will be 2015 all over again, if not worse.

Now wait a second, put him in there with the first team offense (I know I know, also means he's going up against first team defense) and I think behind the offensive line with Zeke carrying the team on his back we would be just as fine with Cooper Rush out there as we would with any other backup. If he's capable of making some good throws here and there, can get into the end zone a couple of times a game, and doesn't turn the ball over, I don't really understand what more you would expect out of a backup. As a matter of fact, name one backup we've had since Kitna would get through a game without turning the ball over multiple times.

I'd say he came out a little cold yesterday, definitely didn't put some balls on the money. But at the same time it's the first game of his second preseason and I think he just got cold feet (and still put up OK numbers). I think the backup offensive line was also making him pretty uncomfortable. If he doesn't improve a lot then he might just be a career backup, but the #s and eye test (unless he's regressed from last preseason) tell me he's good enough to play backup and get a team some wins.

Panic? He had nowhere to guy and he ate the sack.

That wasn’t panicking. Panicking would have been to force an INT into heavy coverage or some something else stupid. Sometimes the best thing a QB can do is just take the sack and move on to the next play.

The dude has a weak arm. That will not improve with him playing with the first string. Zeke would face an increased amount of stacked boxes with Cooper as QB because there is absolutely nothing to fear from his arm.

Do that on your fantasy team. Let us know how it turns out.

Do you really wanna talk fantasy teams here as no one drafts Dak as there starter ......I wonder why that is????

Here let me help you out since you are too dense to realize the error of your ways.

Argumentum ad Populum (popular appeal or appeal to the majority): The fallacy of attempting to win popular assent to a conclusion by arousing the feeling and enthusiasms of the multitude. There are several variations of this fallacy, but we will emphasize two forms.
