Surprising that we would save 20 million and he would only count 2 million in dead cap to cut this off-season. I don’t really like his demeanor anymore (although I don’t blame him) Seems like a no brainer to me. We don’t really utilize him enough anyway. Can draft his much cheaper replacement in round 2. I guess it comes down to what we’d do with that money? I don’t want Wilson or Gallup back either unless it’s for really cheap.

So your plan is to draft a rookie in the 2nd round and release 3 of our 4 best WRs?

Sounds like a sure-fire way to miss the playoffs next season.
Puts us in a tough spot. But the truth is...guys like Cooper help us dominate the weak NFC East. For us to play with the big boys, we need to strengthen other areas of the team. Did the 49ers have ONE wide receiver with Coopers paycheck? Did they look compromised against us? The OL needs to be rebuilt. We are going NOWHERE if we don't get our run game fixed. And that starts with the OL.

Coop is gone and ya he knows it already......

I think he has played his last game for Cowboys

They didn't need to run the ball and they pay Kittle as much as Cooper. I think he had 2 catches today.

The CAP is imaginary, they can restructure people and sign whoever they want.

Are you suggesting Dak does not need a running game? We've paid Dak. It is sunk money at this point. But he NEEDS a running game. You cannot cut Dak...so you better fix the team around him. And it starts with the running game.

Cap is not something players concern themselves with. They've made that clear over the years. Just because they ignore it, doesn't mean it goes away. What ends up going away is the player, to somewhere else. And or the rest of their contract to the shredder.

Coop is a very intelligent man and is highly aware of the trap door he walked into having an inept QB under center.
He will find his way as did Beasley away from Dallas.....
Lamb will be next but due to getting killed out there from one of Daks off-target passes.....
WR come to Dallas to die......:(

The scary thought is how bad Prescott will be without Cooper! Good grief.
Nothing can save Dak or us now.
We bite the bullet till we can cut him and move on.
Waste piled on top of more waste......sad.

Coop is the least of our worries. Our issue is DAK who had the yips for half the season and our O line (specifically LG) is damn poor. Also Zeke is borderline worthless at this point of his career. Father time has taken its toll on him and its irreversible. McCarthy also needs to go because you can't fire Jerry sadly. For those who want to fire Coop, just look what Mr. Lamb did this game when the lights were on bright. The answer is Zippo.

Glad your not in charge of this team.

If you cut Cooper then you have to keep Gallup and Wilson imo.

Coop should be offered to restructure, as should DLaw. If they don't want a pay cut, time to make some tough decisions.

Paying Dak and Zeke huge money means cuts elsewhere if you want to rebuild your lines.

Gallup more than likely won’t play next year..
Ideally you can trade Cooper for a day 2 draft pick,
Re-sign Cedrick Wilson and get a guy via FA and/ draft.
