Like everyone else, I'm looking forward to our new and improved situation at corner.

Best case scenarios ...... 1.) If Pac Man is reinstated and can work himself back into game shape.

2.) If Mike Jenkins has a great camp/preseason and shows that he's everything we drafted..

Assuming everyone's healthy, where do you guys see the rotation falling? Can Henry still hold down the #2 spot? Does Pac Man start at #2? I don't see Mike Jenkins starting ... will he play nickel? How do you guys see the top 4 working out in terms of the depth chart?

I think Henry's days of being a #2 corner in this league are over. He is just getting too old to be effective for a whole game imho. I do think if we could keep him on the field but off the corner that he is a great player. Corner is just such a demanding position.

Henry is only 30 years old.

His problem isn't his age, but it's his health.

I think to start the season it will be Henry and Newman manning the outside with Jenkins coming in off the bench.

Starters: TNew, Henry
#3: Jenkins
Backups: Scandrick, Ball

If Pacman is reinstated move him into the #3 CB spot and move everyone down one spot.

If pacman doesnt screw up till TC ,he will be reinstated.I dont see how he isnt #3 unless he is really out of playing shape which is unlikely.

If Pac Man is totally healthy and returns to the form he had prior to getting suspended, then he will be better than any other corner other than Newman, by a significant margin.

I agree and it's hard to see Henry falling to #4 if healthy. Cornerback was definitely a position of need especially with Henry being injury prone/age, Newman's age/contract, uncertainty surrounding Pac Man etc.. but if everything works out and we stay healthy, it will be interesting to see how the depth chart works out. Under a best case scenario for Pac Man, I see him starting opposite Newman with Henry or Jenkins playing nickel. Henry played at a pro-bowl level when he was healthy. Hard to see him sliding to #4. Also hard to see a first round talent sliding to #4 as well. I'm sure Wade comes up with some creative packages and I guess this is a good problem to have.

Pacman is reinstated in late May-early June or at least allowed to workout with the team. He isn't in bad shape and quickly adjusts back to form. Jenkins is what we all expect him to be, which is a solid CB. Like someone said b4, Henry's problem isn't his age, it's staying healthy, when he's healthy he's still a very good CB

Best-Case Scenario this is how I would like the secondary to look:
Starters
LCB- T Newman
RCB- A Henry
FS- Hamlin
SS- R. Williams ( I can't wait to get rid of him )

Nickel D
LCB- Pacman
RCB- A Henry
Slot- T Newman
S- Hamlin
S- Jenkins/Watkins/Brown

Dime D
LCB- Pacman
RCB-A Henry
Slot- T Newman
S- Hamlin
S- Jenkins
S- Watkins/Brown

I know everyone's like hold up Jenkins isn't a Safety, I know that, but I'm thinkin that we're gonna have our best cover guys out there regardless of position. And plus I think his skills translate well to playing deep safety or covering a slot

As long as he's healthy, Henry WILL be the starter, at least to begin the season. Now, Pacman or Jenkins may take the job from him at some point in the season, but not to start it.

If PacMan is re-instated, somebody is going to end up at Safety. Seriously, either Henry or possible Ball, Scandrick or maybe even Jenkins might end up at Safety. I doubt Jenkins because he can't catch anything but somebody will be moved IMO.

You got to be kidding. 1 of the best CB in the league is not going to move to FS.

If Pacman is reinstated move him into the #3 CB spot and move everyone down one spot.

I think Scandrick may vault over Jenkins in the estimation of the coaches and get more playing time. Ball may be a player, too.

Dallas will have good, young players for the corner back position for a long time, I believe.

The only way Adam Jones sees starting time is injury to Henry or Newman. Until he can prove he has changed his ways this first year, I wouldn't want to pull a starter with the chance that I would have to reinsert them because 'Pacman made it rain'.

Both Jenkins and Jones will have their hands full getting used to NFL speed and learning their responsibilities on special teams and defense.

I would guess that Jones will see more time at #3, but in my mind Jenkins would have the better chance to unseat Henry because he doesn't have off the field concerns hovering over him.

If and I say IF, pacman can return to his prior form, what he could potentially get into off the field won't be a factor IMO.
