I think he could be Cowboys kicker...The last highest percentage that he had was with the San fransico 49ers who special teams was coach by Bruce Dehaven which is currently Dallas Cowboys special teams coach....

He could improve with this Special teams coach... Congrats On the Win Cortez..

I do as well but have done that with every kicker we have had. When you leave a win or loss to a FG you are living dangerously.

Saying Cortez "got one blocked" is plain wrong. The play was not blocked well. A Gint player penetrated the left-middle of the Dallas line, and THAT's what got the kick blocked.

That is exactly how I saw it as well, Giants player penetrated quickly into the back field and got the block and there was nothing the kicker could do about it.

He also pulled that ball left. It looked just like the other one he missed. Went left the whole time.

If you look at the replay it was blocked by the left side of the line and was clearly off line to start with!

Most kicks are not straight they all have some hook or fade to them especially when talking a soccer style kicker.

If Dallas finds better then fine, I have no problem getting rid of any kicker but so far every player brought in to beat him out has failed to do so. So until Dallas finds better he is our kicker and made a critical kick for the win yesterday.

i thought that kick that was blocked started too low and i havent watched it again. i know it was going to be a long kick so maybe he intended it to start
that way . any of you who have seen it again have any comments on it being
low to start with ? i realize the blocking collapsed but am still curious about
the height . thanks

I think after Big Larry shook him he started doing better and this win has earned him a little respect on the team now, just a little.:wink2:
