Colts released K Jose Cortez.
Looks like we won't get a chance for Cortez to pull off a Buster Douglas-like camp battle victory over Adam Vinatieri this August. Apr. 3 - 7:27 pm et

Only if he comes at the league minmum, keeps his mouth shut and cleans up the locker room after the games.

I'm sure we can dig up the Martin Gramatica/Vanderjagt combo that worked so well for Indy in 2004

Cortez isn't THAT good on kickoffs. He's solid.

Might as well bring Cundiff back to kickoff. At least then we'd have an "ok" FG kicker to back up Vanderdrunk as well.

No way! Cortez is a locker room cancer! First he intentionally missed kicks to make the Cowboys lose, he was also on the Eagles team when McNabb was injured, and on the Colts team when they lost the the Steelers. He's already destroyed 3 franchises and disrespected Larry Allen, the most hallowed among all Dallas Cowboys.

If Parcells decides that Vanderjagt cannot kick off then we will bring in an undrafted rookie to kick off and develop.

If Dallas has to bring in a kickoff guy, I'd bring in a young guy they can develop as a FG kicker as well.

No way do they spend much on a kickoff guy.

alternatively, we might just keep Suisham and let him develop and kick off.

Did Rayner do the KO's before Cortez?

I'd look to get Ohio State's Josh Huston. Set school record for touchbacks and can be groomed for the future.

Ya know how some people swore they would never watch another game if the Cowboys signed TO. Well, I'm like that with Jose Cortez. :D

Just say to TO...errr....just say no way Jose!
